To my understanding it may be difficult to see a video as to my knowledge the game was not televised.

You can typically find a good stream here: http://www.myp2pforum.eu/forums/29 Just look for the thread for the current day. It's typically near the top.

I streamed alot of games from last season and I have no complaints so far. So if you can't do the Center Ice thing and stuff it's the way to go. A big thanks to those who stream. I appreciate it.

Goodluck :!: They are gonna need it.

I was talking with a friend last night and we were saying how Chicago seemed to get some half decent deals this off season even though other GM's knew they were in trouble cap wise and he mentioned Rick Dudley to me. So I went and looked him up. I'm just curious, could the league if they wanted investigate this for collusion. Not saying it is myself but it does seem a little convenient.

Mitchell is a great Defensive D man. The Canucks missed him a lot last year. So he is no slouch, with that said I would be pretty concerned that he gets another concussion playing in the same division as Anaheim, San Jose and them. But for 3.5 mill if I was Mitchell id sign and quick. I'll mention Doughty so people read my post.

Vancouver reminds me of the Redwings in the mid 90's right now when it comes to playoffs. Can't pull it together but if they do then watch out. Sami Salo can't be traded as he has a NTC, Bieksa is the one that is most likely to be moved due to his cap hit of 3.75 mill although with the long term injury of Salo and Burrows being out for a month or so that will help them with some cap space. I still think he is gone though. I'm a tad surprised on Alberts due to all his blunders last playoffs. I guess he is a big body and they are hoping he improves.

I read this one and I didn't think this was a bad idea personally.

The single biggest scapegoat of the Red Wings in the last 20+ years...

I have had the same thoughts about this for ages. Cujo wasn't the issue, lack of scoring was. -
Post up all the sickest highlight video's on youtube

The Philly Boston vid is pretty epic, was a pretty epic series too. Also loved Hextals "passion" for the game and how he could take things into his own hands if required. The sergei video makes me miss some of the old guys. Kozlov, Ciccarelli and such. Also seeing those old jets jersey's is sweet. Konstantinov is the man! Stevens was such a warrior. I miss those old hip checks that Konstantinov, Stevens and others did back then. I don't seem to see them as often anymore. -
Awesome chair! Anyway's any of you video makers want to make one of Z?

I got a mini hockey fix today by watching the Larionov retirement game again. I miss a lot of the players who played in that game. Just have to drop a huge thanks again to snafu for taking the time way back in 2004 to burn and mail me a physical copy of the game. We got some great members on this site.

I think we have enough teams currently in the league. After reading your post twice I have a few thoughts of my own to add. I think alot of GM's have inadvertently priced themselves out of competition. Meaning they signed people and before they knew it they were to close to the cap to sign anyone but bargain basement. Hopefully after some time they will get used to it and things will balance out but i'm not holding my breath. Wishful though. I think alot of players perhaps over value themselves. They see one player with a similar skill set, point totals and just cause that one player was given perhaps too much by a GM some place they assume they are worth that as well. This may be great for that player, but not for the team as it leaves the team short to sign other quality players. Then you got the rookies, awesome if you can get some on your team that are NHL ready. In the cap crunch perhaps some teams are more willing to let younger guys play to save on the cap. Right now there are two types of players that seem to be benefiting from the salary cap in my eyes. Those are the star players that command 6 million plus to play in the league. Then there is the under million club, basically any player that is willing to take 1 mill or less to play. The players in the middle are perhaps not deemed important enough for GM's to budget around or simply casualties of bad cap planning. For the player, they sometimes often think they are worth more than they are. Thus pricing themselves out of a job for most teams in a cap world. It's not that teams don't want players like Afinogenov it's just they simply can't pay him what he wants due to a cap. Thus limiting his options. As for extra teams, I already mentioned I wouldn't want more. I simply think they should solve the issue with some of the teams in the current locations they are at. Over time we will loose some players, gain some but once gm's learn from their mistakes, players sit from over pricing themselves or leave to the KHL then I think it should hopefully improve.

I'm pretty sure Bieska is available now via trade. Vancouver has a backlog of Dmen and need to shed some salary before the start of next season. Salo being injured long term helps a bit but they still need to free up some $. Just to be clear though, I'm not saying I approve of him coming here. In the end it will probably be more of a D by committee thing than find one high end superstar to replace him.

Even if it's in a smaller capacity. Bring that kid on as something cool.

I won't get into the war but I think this is a great story. Not only for Joseph Bowser but for the others who get to benefit from the Walter Reed Hockey Program. http://thepuckdoctors.com/2010/07/iraq-vet-loses-leg-still-plays-hockey/ I can just imagine the look on the guys face when his leg turned around. lol

Check out the video below, first it reminded me of Fischer and then it reminded me of how much a weasel Barnaby is. If you know of any other clips similar to this post them. Should be funny. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMQZzvw9v-g&feature=player_embedded

You just shouldn't start something you can't finish. Yes the cut didn't look good though.

He does have terrible luck which is why I could have seen the nucks trade him instead of Bieska but that won't happen now.

This award to MacArthur makes me wonder how much a guy like M. Raymond will get. Has anyone ever heard of a guy that went through arbitration and came out with what everyone considered a lower contract than he should have? My memory isn't the greatest but I can't personally think of one.

Mitchell would be great, only question really in my mind is risk due to his concusion. He gets pasted again, he could very well be done for. The questions around the concussion too may lead to a discount perhaps.

Just looking at the CapGeek website for Detroit and i'm wondering if we are loosing anything worthwhile here? I don't keep up with the prospects as much as I should. Johan Ryno, Evan McGrath, Riley Armstrong, Ryan Oulahen, Jeremy Williams are UFA's not signed. Jason Williams, Andreas Lilja, Kirk Maltby, Brad May I know about and they aren't signed either. Daniel Larsson, O Tollefsen, Sergi Kolosov, Jamie Tardif and Derek Meech are RFA's not signed yet. Justin Abdelkader and Darren Helm I know about and they aren't signed either. Note: Currently have 20 players signed, 3.7 mill or so to spend. I am guessing Abdelkader and Helm will be signed, if Modano does come over then i'm pretty sure Maltby is done even though there is only that quote saying he has hockey left in him as a basis for him being resigned anyways to my knowledge. Who is rounding out the D? Meech, Kolosov, Tollefsen, Lilja or Free Agent. Hopefully this thread works. Didn't want to start yet another thread that is so closely based on the others.

Great player, one of my favorites back when he played for us.

Personally I think we have enough of a veteran presence on the team. It's time to see what the young guys can do. So I would Pass.
