Market Miller, that guy is pure gold. They should realistically market a variety of players. It would be more effective if they marketed players who play in the region for that region I think. For some reason it reminds me of all the old hockey comercials in the late 90's. I never see similar ones much anymore.

Part 1: I admitted there were a few mistakes and I'm a Canadian. Part 2: True, some are. Part 3: I again as a Canadian didn't call anyone out. As you can see I inluded my original post before for you to check over and confirm facts. I simply wish people wouldn't make blanket statements that are not true. Anyways this is the last time i'll comment in this thread. It's time to move on.

A few mistakes throughout the game but it was a nail bitter of a game and overall I thought it was a good one. Personally id rather have flow than whistle after whistle of penalties but to each their own I guess. Not like anything said here will change the end result as well. Anyways back to the business at hand.... Detroit and the playoffs.

FYI, I cheered like mad. I wonder what the other crosby haters did. Come tomorow though... back to normal.

I can't wait for this all to be done and over with so we can get back to just bickering about the redwings and s*** instead of my country vs your country. This last 2 or 3 weeks there are definatley people from both countries that have lost respect from many i'm sure on these boards. Hopefully the chest beating and displays of macho s*** go away real quick.

Out of curiosity say the game was tied 2-2 and there was less than a 10 seconds left and Crosby strips the puck from someone and scores so Canada wins gold. Your basically saying you would sit there, wouldn't high five anyone cheer that Canada has won because it was Crosby that scored the winner? I just want to confirm your level of hatred for him. As for a Canadian, I cheer for my country and those who wear the jersey. I may not like all the players in the NHL but I can separate my feelings from that as this has absolutely nothing to do with the stanley cup or the Detroit Red Wings. I don't care for Crosby either, but if he scored like I mentioned above and we won... then f*** ya i would cheer.

The Canadian game was a sleeper, It got to 7-3 and I decided to leave and just do errands that I had lined up. I'm glad they won, but I was hoping for more. You should rephrase that to say some Canadian Fans. I as a Canadian am not runing about saying we are going to win gold automatically. Nor am I 5 years old. Anyways the board may continue with it's crosby bashing and bickering.... haha

Just a point on Detroit not winning the cup with the same team and a 40 goal scorer. Did you ever stop to think that perhaps we didn't get worse as a team, the penguins just got better? There is more to it than that of course but... Also Don Cherry gets paid to be Don Cherry, the moment there isn't an audience for him then he would no longer be on TV. Not saying I like the guy but sometimes I agree with him, sometimes I don't. Lastly as a Canadian, Detroit is my favorite team not because it's Detroit, but because of it's players, history and how they carry themselves. Over the years many canadian citizens have played for them as well. It's not an American team persay but a team of international players who happen to be based in an American City.

After reading this thread the most important thing I have to ask is Who is the girl in Xitium's avatar. The rest of this with the ref will sort itself out i'm sure.

With all the injuries to the team and I know other teams around the league are having issues does anyone know if there is a site that tracks man games lost per team due to injury? Maybe even with the last few years as i'm just curious how it's stacking up to years past. Sorry if this is posted some place else as well. I just couldn't find it on a search.

I live in Vancouver and back when Bert was with Morison and Naslund they had good chemistry and he was a star player. With that said once the Moore incident transpired he hasn't been the same. If he could get back to 80% of what he was then that would be awesome. In the end i am glad he is scoring goals for us. Especially scoring goals that won us these last two games. But don't fool yourself into thinking he is anything more than what he is. Also not sure why he gets brought up again in his own thread, sure he scored some goals but isn't there a few threads on him already here?

I was curious what a rivalry is actually defined as so I tried to look it up but nothing concrete. I did find this which I thought was interesting. Is that you Spengler? haha. Seriously.... i'm lowered to having to watch highlights on TSN's website at the moment while refreshing the scores page from time to time. You know how much that sucks? Last nights game i'm like woot we are winning 3-0, then it's like wtf, then later on it's like wtfx2 but hey we won. haha. Then a 2 hour delay for highlights where they cram the game into 1 minute and 30 seconds.

I tried to watch the game last night here, seems for me for the last while there has been no streams there or on the myp2pforum. Anyone have alternate sources for streams as I have no cable tv and live off bunny ears which provides me with 1 Channel.

I think the difference there was Artyukhin is a repeat offender while this is Ovies first slap on the wrist. So if he does it again then he will be suspended. At least this is what the analysts at TSN state. There is a video on it with them blabing about it.

Toews missed a second practice. Not sure if that was posted anywhere so thought I would mention it.

Tucker got stitches from when his face hit the ice, he is concussed and from what I read will be out of action for at least 10 days. Ruutu on the other hand was assessed a major penalty for boarding a game misconduct, will forfeit $59,067.36 in salary and is gone till Nov. 1. Anyway's glad Tucker is okay. @ SliderJeff - Captain Kirk is the man! Even with two rights... beware of the CHOP!

"I'm watching him move his his TWO right arms" haha Anyways I agree I didn't look that bad, but he droped quick. Generally hate to see anyone hurt but hopefully he can get back soon... although he should check out that arm thing. Nasty.

Perhaps he is doing it to save some face. Got lots of bad PR maybe from the latest debacle. This is potentially some good PR. I'm Canadian and would love more teams in Canada. But only if they are viable.

My only concern is it rewards teams with say one super skilled player and detracts from the team effort. If they did change something then just change it to all penalties last the full duration period. Should see less dumb penalties as a result.
