3/24 GDT: St. Louis Blues @ Red Wings, 2:00 PM ET
cincywingfan replied to puckloo39's topic in General
did you see Babcock's reaction to the trainer? -
I live too close to columbus. They black out FSD on me.
-
Nooooo FSN Ohio "TONIGHT THE JACKETS GO FOR THEIR FIRST 3 WIN SEASON AGAINST DETROIT" "Blue Jackets hockey is NEXT!!"
-
#^&%!@!, I just threw up in my mouth. Forgot that I live so near Cbus that the FSD feed will get blacked out on my Center Ice Package. Damn you CBJ....maybe it's not on FSO tonight?? Edit: It is on FSO........DAMN YOU CBJ!

If I remember correctly after the trade deadline there is no limit to the number of players on the NHL roster. You do still have to stay compliant with the salary cap.
-
Somebody, please, youtube! If you've got it send it to me and I'll put it up if you like.
-
No doubt. I have a feeling Mr. and Mrs. Ilitch will stick with him. Wings fans really are lucky to have such terrific ownership.
-
somebody...youtube?
-
Thanks Sparty :beerbuddy: I grew up watching #99 but I wear #4. as Gramps would always say..."What if Bobby Orr had two good knees???"
-
Ooops...anybody have the audio or video? I was watching CBC.
-
I thought the exact same thing.

I think I remember reading that a Preds exec actually said they want to be exactly like the Wings. Who could blame them? I'll try to find it...hell I don't care. The dude just meant he wanted to go from an expansion team to a contender year in, year out. Which is what they should be shooting for. I want the Preds and CBJ, etc. to become legit. I've been around long enough to remember how good we had it in the Norris division days, when our division foes had some history and real hockey crazy fan bases. Trading the MN franchise (at the time the North Stars) and Toronto for Nashville and Columbus just blows in my humble opinion. Oh and the Octopi thing is more tolerable because it's 50 yrs old and we don't throw 5 of them on a Tuesday night regular season loss.
-
I think they need to break our hearts in the play-offs to become a true rival, but I get your point and it's valid. I want them to be taken seriously/succeed, the catfish thing is not helping.

Calder has been nothing short of spectacular for us. uh-oh Lang is Lazy again.
-
I couldn't find it covered around here anywhere... Is the Erat injury serious? That wasn't cool to see.

Viva Shanny!

He's dropping his gloves once every 5 games (12 fights in 59 gp), he better be taking his helmet off right after his gloves hit the ice. Edit: Clarity Ahh see that's what I was looking for. Thanks. If that's the case then go on with your bad self Tootoo.
-
I can respect his the personal adversity he has battled through.... but he's got a lot of PIM for me to want him on our team. Riddle me this Preds fans.... He is your fighter (or one of your main fighters) correct? If this is true why the hell does he wear a visor? EDIT: Just did some quick research. According to www.hockeyfights.com Tootoo has the third most fights in the league this year with 12. All right that explains why his PIM is up there. But..... He had better be taking that visor off when he drops the gloves. I realize it's not 1988 anymore but there is no excuse for a fighter without an eye problem to be hiding behind a visor. Also he has 6 pts this season and is a -12 on one of, if not, the leader in team +/-.

<---Stuck with Center Ice / FSN feed I still like Terry but it is a little less every game I have to sit through. The other guy is BRUTAL. Yes they are homers, but that's how it's supposed to be. Ken and Mick are textbook homers and I love it.

Attention Red Wings fans: Please save the Octopi for the playoffs. It's a PLAYOFF tradition. The 1952 playoffs featured the start of the traditionâ€â€the octopus throw. The owner of a local fish market, Peter Cusimano, threw one from the stands and onto the ice. The eight legs were purportedly symbolic of the eight playoff wins it took to win the Stanley Cup at the time. The Red Wings went on to sweep both of their opponents that year en route to a Stanley Cup championship. The NHL has, at various times, tried to eliminate this tradition, but it continues to this day. Attention Preds fans: The catfish gets zero points for originality and the fans get zero points for timing. They are very lucky they did not get a delay of game penalty last night. I could care less what you decide to throw on the ice in an attempt to manufacture tradition, but I really was a little embarrassed for you. I know it’s all in good fun but I understand some of your fans wish to be taken seriously. The catfish during a regular season loss is not helping them.

question about the Nashville feed... what are those people doing with their fingers?
-
True dat Harold. :beerbuddy:
-
It's been my experience that the big Fosters are the best deal once inside JLA. :beerbuddy: Somebody help me out if that has changed as I haven't been this year.
-
No, but I don't think that says anything.

This is the type of thing that can be a scary first round match-up for the higher seed. Will you get a team... A - on a hot streak, busting with confidence or B - exahusted from the push just to get in ???
