I got the email today about the pre-sale that starts tomorrow and it mentions Opening Night, New Year's Eve, and Steve Yzerman Night. Does anyone know what and when the Yzerman night is?? I was thinking it was a misprint or something.

...................which sucks because I don't know which game to buy tickets for. Can't afford season tickets! GRRRRRRRRRrrr.....

I don't live in Baltimore but I'll be there next week. If the series goes more than 5 games I'll either watch from my hotel or find a place to watch it. I will be wearing my Wings jersey with pride around Baltimore.

Fanatic U in Garden City is also a good place for stuff. It's not too far from Wayne. It's on Ford Rd. There is also two sports stores in Westland. One is in the Westland Mall and the other is right across the street from the mall on Warren Ave. I was also going to mention that Metro Airport had some great shirts and hats from Winter Classic. I think the hats were about 30.00 and they had a nice long sleeve shirt for 25.00.

I think you did the right thing by not asking for autograph with his kids there. Saying hello would have been Ok, but I know I probably would have frozen up as well. I had a similar situation this year on the Victory parade day. My friend and I were eating at Andiamo's in the Rencen and in walked Scotty Bowman and his family. We debated going up to him and saying Hi and get an autograph. I snapped a picture with my crapy cell phone camera. You can barely tell its him. We never said hello or anything but it was just cool that he was there.

I think you'd be the only one with no Ticketmaster on it. I was looking at mine wondering how I can file it off or something.

I didn't get to watch any pre-game and not much of the game, so I didn't hear why Larry Murphy wasn't there. Does anyone know why? Personally I enjoyed Craig Simpson! I liked him when he was a player and he does a good job commentating.

I'm glad they took this script off of this site. I totally don't agree with it. Even though I'd like to see an all Wings starting lineup it's cheating and it's not right.

He has been playing great! He's picked up where he left off last spring. I admit I have a bit of a crush as well. He's a cutie!

My prayers go out to his family! Fischer was very luck to have the AED and great medical staff. Something he never takes for granted. There are no guarantees that the AED would have made a difference but I think we have to believe that it would have. We all need to believe that if something every happened to us, that one of these would/could save our lives. Fischer believes!

Those pictures were great! I wish Downey could have played in atleast one of the SCF games. But at least he played enough games during the season to have his name on the Cup! I hope he's back next year.

That was a great match! I don't watch tennis as much anymore but I couldn't turn away from it. Nadal is just the cutest little thing! I thought it was great that he went to say Hi to the Royal Family. He's signature "biting" of the trophy. hehehehe

I bought my hat at Commerica Park at the start of the 07 season and it has Detroit on the back. They are so popular so I'm not sure why they switched them or stopped selling them.

I have the second hat that was posted. I love mine because I can support both my teams with one hat. I don't care that it doesn't have winged wheel on it, the red and white takes care of that.

They just better not make them powder blue like they did for Pittsburgh. I have a deep hatred to any sports appareal that are pink or powder blue! I think they should leave them alone and add patch or something to them!

Miller Lite has some special cans that have 2008 Champs and the Red Wings logo on it. It's not the same as the Mini Kegs, but I still bought a 6-pack for 5.99 at Kroger. I also saw them at 7-Eleven. Not sure how much they were there.

The show was great! Even the part with mini-me was funny!

Other than the outcome of that game, Game 5 was the best game I had ever gone to. Yzerman Night is was the best game before but that was more about Yzerman then the game that followed.

I have to agree with the Game 5 - Rafalski's goal. I was there and it was truely amazing! I had to wait to cheer until I know for sure it was a goal since we've had too many of them disallowed.

As you can see my user name I am a huge Fischer fan. His contract was up last year, and they did not resign him as a player but instead placed him in management as Head of Player Development. As was mentioned before: I think if there is room on the cup others would not hesitate to include his name on there. Based on his comment he doesn't expect it though: And I truely believe that if his heart did not stop while on the bench that he would still be a Red Wing today. He was having an amazing year before the incident. He was really developing into a top 4 d-man. He's not giving up hope of every playing again, but he's not willing to risk his life either.
