Other teams hate us, yes. But do they respect the organization? You bet. Fans are going to hate other teams, that is a given. But they should always respect them. People are losing a lot of respect for Nashville's organization as a whole.

Does anybody else agree that while the NHL needs the ESPN to really start to reach all markets, the ESPN needs the NHL in order to have a more diverse array of television? (such as in the days of NHL2night, Baseball Tonight, NBA2night, etc). Without the NHL, ESPN is forced to sign deals such as this one in order to fill all of their time slots. I've also noticed that while the NFL season has been over for more than a month, ESPN still airs NFL Live daily. How can there be that much to talk about everyday during the course of the offseason?! Furthermore, ESPN is forced to air extensive coverage of NASCAR events, even having the daily NASCAR show. Again, how can there be that much to talk about in a sport that races once a week?! Thoughts? Opinions?

Yes. It is very unclassy to not even announce it. They need to appreciate a true American hero for the game. The Predators sure aren't making any friends on their quest to be the best of the best.

They did lose Pronger over the offseason and Smyth, recently. I think the Smyth trade took everything out of them. They really didn't want that guy to leave.

Not only do they not have a decent arena, they haven't struggled the Supersonics (NBA) as of late. I remember reading at one point that their owner was seeking relocation. I don't think they are an ideal market, either. Then again, I don't think the NHL should look at expanding for quite a few years, if ever.

Umpiring a baseball game last year, I struck a kid out on 3 straight pitches (his first at-bat of the season) and as he was walking away he said "Your f%#*ed up!" I agree. I'd give Dats a 4 year, $30 million contract. The full $30 million would come through regular season/playoff performance incentive. Base salary would be between $5 million in year 1 to $6.5 million in year 4. Agree? Disagree?
