And that is 2 more games than I get.
-
I go to BGSU and work for the Athletic Department. We open our doors 1 hour prior to all games. I think that is very similar to the rest of the college athletics. Also, keep an eye out for something. When ND played BGSU in early February, I noticed why the ND goalie is one of the best in college hockey. Whenever the other team is on an offensive threat, and he is forced to slide to the opposite end of the crease, he always slides back in order to purposely knock the goal off the pegs, ending the offensive momentum. Of course, this is never called by the refs because they are in awe of ND being so good, and their goalie being the best in college hockey.

14 letters in the last name counts. Having 14 middle names does not count. Before I put it on the back of a jersey, can I get a pronunciation key?

I would never pay for it. That is why I have friends.

That's the point I try to make. Don't we have some sort of seniority because we've been in the league 80 years longer than them? On the point of Detroit's dad beating up Columbus' dad, there's no fight. It's Columbus. They are a nothing town. They mean nothing to anybody that has any connection to Michigan, Ann Arbor, of the University of Michigan. (Hell, anyone who has a brain for that matter )

Well said. Atleast there was one sensible post in this thread. Well said. Atleast there was one sensible post in this thread.

My friend has access, and gave me his password so I can get access. I lost his password, so I just texted him asking him to give it to me again. When I get it, I'll see what I can do about posting.

I'm not concerned about meeting another Original Six team in the Finals. I'd be happy with a regular season game. --I don't think it's really fair to make the example of Montreal traveling to Chicago and only 11,000 people showing up. Chicago isn't going to draw fans, period (unless they are playing Detroit). If the Wings traveled to Toronto and only 11,000 showed up, then, I'd be concerned.

Someone else finally agrees that you shouldn't be rewarded for losing!!! Also, I don't think the league can really look at expanding just yet. Bettman already added a bunch of teams, many of which are struggling to draw fans and make a profit (including Nashville, who is making a legit run).

How do you figure? I think his resume speaks for itself.
-
Or don't give him his due, yet. Make him feel under appreciated and make him work harder and harder every day. Make him want it. That's what makes good players great players.
-
That was the best. Cheap shot. I like it

What they don't know can't hurt them. Actually, I guess when we're talking about the murder capital, it really can hurt them! Sorry, I misread your post.
-
Agreed. I do feel however, that if you placed them both on a mediocre team, Brodeur would be more dominant than Roy.

I can see what you mean by not trusting the site. It looks a bit shady. Also, on that lasting you get the entire game from that night on disc 2. Then, on Disc 3, you get the first period and part of the 2nd period. Finally, on Disc 4, you get the rest of the 2nd and the 3rd. For some reason, that doesn't make any sense at all. I thought about reading it, and then figured it's more of a collectable than a book. I don't ever touch collectables. I merely collect them.

He's from Buffalo Grove, IL. I am, too. Maybe that means I can be on the Wings? No? Damn.
-
Join the Red Wave kinda makes it sound like all the fans are fair-weather fans.
-
I'm not a fan of playoff slogans at all. Just win the damn Cup.
-
Without fans there would be no Cup, no game, no team, no league.
-
You just took all of the fun out of sports. Thanks for ruining my entire career. St. Louis is now the murder capital. It passed Detroit in October.

8.7 seconds. That's about 7 seconds longer than I got on SportsCenter. I refuse to read the book. I have it, but it's sitting in a box, unopened.

As a baseball umpire, I know that I have never consciously favored one team over another. Sure, I have bad games. Sure, sometimes it seems like I'm favoring one team. But honestly, I'm not. I could care less who won the game. In my bad games, I can tell you that I know I'm equally as bad for both teams. And no, a good ref will never make make-up calls. On a side note: Is Bill McCreary (sp?) still calling games?
