Door Number 5 or Calgary in First Round of Playoffs
TheLegend19 replied to livediehockey80's topic in General
(Sorry, I took out the bulk of your post to save space. I am directly replying to just this paragraph.) I think the Sharks would cause the Wings some trouble in the playoffs. The Sharks are a faster, more physical team. The best thing they have going for them is their youth. This San Jose team is a very young team, which usually directly translates into intense hunger to win the Cup. -
Go Wings

That's why I changed it. Pretty good reason, eh?
-
So in my first post as TheLegend19 (changed from Manny4Prez) I would like to say good win tonight.
-
Agreed. We're in the playoffs, and we're going to finish somewhere 1-4. Just bring him back in time to tune up for the playoffs. If we lose him, we're in big trouble.
-
And if they're throwing cheapshots in the regular season, I can't even imagine what it will be like in the playoffs.
-
It was a good read to read his responses.
-
I don't think I can get any worse. Maybe it will make me better?
-
It's being televised in Australia, but not in Northwest Ohio? There is something wrong with that.
-
aflac, your GDTs are ridiculous. They are incredibly good. Thanks for your hard work with them. I especially like how you removed the color of teams that are eliminated from playoff contention. Go Wings.
-
As much as I'd love for him to win it, I'm nervous that he won't. But, I'd prefer to see a Stanley Cup instead of another Norris.
-
It was probably Dant Fritche himself.
-
I agree. The coach puts them in the position to win, but ultimately, the players have to want it. Last year, they did not. If they don't this year, I don't say fire Babs. I say fire the team.

ESPn's 'Ultimate Ranking' of all sports teams
TheLegend19 replied to redwinger4747's topic in General
The best part is, they find a way to win the last game of the season which causes them to get the 2nd overall pick in the draft instead of the first. I'm not suprised by the Bears being that low. I am suprised that the Yankees were NOT in the top 30. -

Good article about fighting in hockey on ESPN.com http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/columns/stor...&id=2813170
-
Actually, I think he may be the only guy at ESPN who likes hockey.

42* issues for $51.48 $51.48 USD for US subscriptions. They offer print and digital subscriptions. Suprisingly, the digital subscription costs exactly the same as the print sucscription. https://secure.indas.on.ca/care/hnc/index.p...AN12&intl=N

This is better than it being on Versus. And I agree completely with NFM25. They have to present the biggest game over the biggest stars. If they do this, people may begin to enjoy hockey a little bit more.

Very good read. Great article, thanks for posting. He was right about McCarty coming back to Detroit. He'll always have a friend here, and he'll always have a cold beer waiting.
-
I can agree with that. Regardless, it was still boarding and intent to injure. This may be true, but I think the real reason we want Tootoo's head is because he happens to be on a team that we're fiercely fighting for the division against. Nieminen, however, is not on a team that we have anything to worry about. What does that mean?
-
It was. Lebda had his back to Nieminen and Nieminen took advantage. Also, it appears that Nimenen had placed his forearm near the neck of Lebda to drive his head into the boards a little bit more.
-
He shouldn't get off because he went to visit him in the hospital. If it was a clean hit, the guy wouldn't have ended up in the hospital in the first place.
-
I like your point on this. I'm not about go say 'Go Nas*ville' because it's not a part of my vocabulary, but I would prefer to NOT play Calgary in the first round. Kiprusoff seems to enjoy the playoff pressure, and Calgary has an incredible home-ice advantage with their fan base.
-
Hmm...I knew I had heard that name somewhere.
