great game by the wings. other than the kronwall and stuart defensive breakdowns leading to goals, they wings executed perfectly.

will babcock please split up kronwall and stuart?!?!?! these two are not a good d-pairing.

only got to see the end, but by all accounts it looks like the wings played very well. two games in a row where ozzie's been really solid! that's great news.

great game by oz. the rest of the team just kinda mailed it in AGAIN in the third, but oz bailed them out. i don't understand how they could lay back like that after what happened against calgary!!! other than that, though, good game. hopefully oz can get a little confidence going from his play in the third.

i love his smile at the end as he's watching the jumbotron. lol.

i love babs post game interviews. well, we lost some face offs in the end and they had some shots and they went in. i hope to god this isn't how he is in the dressing room. heads should be rolling.

i didn't watch hockey in the eighties. this is the worst defensively i've ever seen the wings. the fact that you have to go back 20 years to find a wings team comparably defensively should be a bit of a red flag that this team is s*** on defense this year. let me ask you this, how many cups did the wings win in the eighties? this team has a problem on defense. and it wouldn't be so bad if they didn't have the talent. it would be understandable. but this team is probably the deepest defensive team in the league. the have some of the top defensive forwards in the league. our play this season has been terrible in our zone from game one. nothing has changed. it is a concern. if you aren't concerned, you're fooling yourself. this team needs to get it's ass in gear!!

so 20 years ago we had a worse defense. good point. to put things back in perspective, this was the best defense in the league a year ago. you give it a rest.

i hate the flames they're nothing but a bunch of goons. and i hate that the red wings have nobody on this team that sticks up for anybody. it's embarrassing. oh, wait, our pp is our enforcer, right? tell that to cleary. tell that to datsyuk, zetterberg, holmstrom, franzen, getting their asses kicked every shift. holland better get some toughness on this team this summer. if we face calgary in the playoffs i think our whole team will be injured by the end of a 7 game series. sad ******* period. the wings look like a bunch of little girls out there. it's just embarrassing.

lol. i just listened to babcock earlier today try and explain away last weeks 8-0 loss, too. he said, well, that happens, it was just the wakeup call we needed, etc. jesus babcock, get a grip. this team hasn't woken up all ******* year. explain this one, will ya, this is the worst the wings have been defensively and in goal since i've been a fan. the ******* worst!!!!! this team doesn't deserve to win, plain and simple. they've refused to get their arrogant ******* heads out of their asses all season long, and everbody says don't worry, this team's great, they one the cup, and so on. well guess what, it's ******* time to worry. does this team ruin everybody else's wekends, or is it just me. seems like every saturday or sunday they completely blow chunks. fruck!

neil would have been perfect, imo. i got excited when i heard that rumor. you're right about not fighting in po's, but this team needs something to give it energy. i feel like energy has been missing for much of the season. i think drake was a bigger loss than most of us (at least me) imagined. hossa was a great pickup, but we already had goal scorers. with drake we lost something we didn't have elsewhere in the lineup. you're probably right about downey, we definitely need to roll four lines in the playoffs, i just wish we had somebody else who brought what downey's upside brings.

downey isn't the best player, but it's evident that he gives the rest of the team energy. we really don't have anybody else who does that. he may be a defensive liability, but i think the rest of the team plays harder when he's in cuz he pumps them up. players love that they have a teammate that sticks up for them. it's a glue for the team. we don't have anybody else like that. i think downey is great for team chemistry, and perhaps, even though we have more talented players we could ice, he makes this team better because of it. i'm not the kind of guy that thinks we need a team full of fighters, but i get pretty tired of watching everybody on this team getting pushed around and nobody doing anything about it. people run at nick, pavel, and especially z (for some reason, perhaps he's not as evasive) and nobody does anything. that effects chemistry. players like it when somebody sticks up for them, it feels good. other than goal tending, that's the only questionable element, roster-wise, i'd have for us in the playoffs.

well this sucks. i had my fingers crossed for some grit/speed/size/heart on the fourth line. can't believe kenny didn't to anything... our fourth line sucks!

our defense this year is a ******* joke. with the amount of talent we have on the back end, it's a joke. no excuses. unbelievable. i'm so pissed off.

you can live vicariously through the wings, the preds just screwed them for twenty minutes straight.

i don't even know what to say. our defense this year has been a tough pill to swallow. they just don't care. if they can't win on talent alone, they give up. they sure as hell don't want to work harder than the other team, that'd be beneath them.

you know if san jose is losing and the bruins lose, the wings are sure as hell going to mail it in. it's as sure as clockwork. AHHH! i'm so pissed.

this team is ******* hilarious. they absolutely deserve this ass-pounding. i've never seen a team care less. ******* ridiculous.
