i would say i'm disappointed in big bert. i don't think he was brought in to be a superhero, but i expected more from him. obviously he's had a long layoff, but he's kinda looking a little too much like lang for my liking.

all i could hear in my head was my pounding heart. your team was excellent in the third, though. absolutely dominated us.

this is shaping up to be quite the series. let's hope the wings can come back home tied up after wednesday. g'nite. it's kinda nice playing a team that doesn't resort to cheap shots and trying to injure everbody across the center line from them anytime they're down in a game.

i saw it more as; once san jose started forechecking hard, we were done.

our only chance in this series is to keep san jose off their game as much as possible. and unfortunately for the wings, their only shot at that is puck possession. it's pretty hard to keep possession when a team this fast and big and strong is working as hard as they did in the third tonight and half of the second.

i don't know if the wings can handle the sharks when they're playing that hard. when the sharks are cycling the puck and playing it along the boards the wings are powerless. and on the rare occasion the wings do get the puck in these situations they are so scared that they make piss poor passes or clearing attempts in our zone (even lidstrom) and turn the puck over. it's just plain painful to watch. i feel like when my cousin would beat me up when we were kids and he had like 40 pounds on me and there was just nothing i could do.

i wish i felt that way. i won't be able to sleep tonight.

it's evident this team is scared to death of san jose's speed and size. when san jose is on their game the wings completely fall apart. errant passes galore, terrible clearing efforts. it's hard to watch. when san jose is really applying the pressure in the offensive zone the wings seem powerless. and big joe's a fricking monster. that guy is incredible.

the wings got lucky as hell the third period. i counted no less than 3 missed open nets for san jose. the sharks are ******* scary when they're on the game. the wings can't clear the puck to ******* save their lives. san jose wins practically every battle along the boards. they are just too big and strong.

i think they're confused, you see, the wings only play 60 minutes of real time, not sixty minutes of game time. that takes them to about half way through the second. that's their sixty minutes.

yeah, it's rare to see him like this. maybe a shift or two here and there, but he's play pretty poorly for two solid games. you know something's up when markov is bailing out lidstrom.

that was awesome. i felt bad for him. clement's response was even better. yeah, i gotta say, i thought hull would be a much better broadcaster. i thought he'd be funny and sharp, but he sucks and he says lots of dumb things.

so was the giveaway by maltby and pretty much all 22 of our other giveaways. this teams needs to tighten things up.

oh, and we need to quit already with the giveaways! 24 again this game. i know this has been a trend all year, but it's something that needs to be addressed immediately. and surprisingly lidstrom was one of our bigger culprits. has hasn't been very solid so far this series, i know he'll bounce back, but he needs to be huge in san jose.

what a come back!! i was pretty deflated after the quick two goals from san jose and was secretly (i would never dare post this on here ) ready to concede the game and probably the series. but the wings did us proud and battled back. we really need to get a lot more traffic in front of nabokov. see what happens when we do (see: datsyuk goal). the shark tank will be tough, but i hope we can at least split there. anyway, i'm so happy i don't have to wallow in another loss and probable early playoff exit until monday. this is a series now!

can we please get somebody in front of the net to get rebounds???? this is ridiculous!!!!! how long does it take a team to understand that worthless shots from the blue line with no traffic aren't going to win ANY games.

the atmosphere at the joe is embarrassing. even if it's not sold out (which is quite embarrassing in and of itself) there are still 18,000 people there! make some damn noise!!!! calgary was amazing! i wish our attending fans had 1/4 that passion and verve.

that sucks. man when it happened i didn't think it'd be serious at all. the wings caught the injury bug at the wrong time of the year.

i thought z and dats played pretty well. they just couldn't finish. and i definitely don't like calder on that line. i think babs wanted to keep franz, land, and bert together cuz the played well against calgary, but i hope for game two(if homer isn't back) we see franzen up with dats and z or filppula
