the first year that dats was really expected to carry the offense was last year. he had 3 points in 5 games. that's not bad, and he was injured. this team as a whole has been terrible come playoff time in the scoring department. that's because this has been an old team with little fire left and we're coming up against younger faster stronger teams playing balls to the wall. it's not datsyuk's fault. it's a team game. i feel this years team is built better for a playoff run. we're playing with more grit than we have in the pas three seasons, and we have some youth and size and hunger that was lacking in previous playoffs. let's see what happens this year.

i read that too. this just sucks. i had a feeling when he went out with a sore back it wasn't just a minor thing. hopefully he improves greatly in the next couple of weeks. if he hasn't improved by then, his season may be over.

what a great feeling to have too much talent for one lineup!! i personally hope it's sammy or maltby that sits. i think there's no chance in hell it'll be malts, so hopefully sammy

it's stupid and senseless. you won't see me making comments like that. but like i said, it's not going to change. sorry, but it's the way it is. you'll just have to ignore them, and wade through them and find decent, insightful posts. i'm glad to have other fans here. it's always good to get new perspectives. so please don't let it deter you, but i can almost guarantee, as the detroit nashville rivalry heats up, these comments will unfortunately become more heated and prevalent. unfortunately you're just going to have to deal with it.

look, if you're going to come on to a wings board you are going to encounter this sort of thing. it's stupid, but it's not going to change. if we go to your board and start doing it then you can complain, but this is our turf. deal with it. not all of us feel that way, and most of those who make stupid comments like that are either joking or pissed and don't genuinely feel that way either. either way, it's not going to stop.

tootoo's a *****. he's a maltby, i'd love to have him on my team (well, like maltby used to be) but hate him when we play against him. his cross check to dats back pissed me off to no end. how that was not called is beyond me. this officiating has been ridiculous lately.

we are showing we have great depth, that's for sure.

i think we've come to expect this kind of play from dom, that's what makes him great. if anything it's a compliment that he can play this well and not stand out too much.

man calder and huds looks great out there!! i really hope babs doesn't sit hudler when everybody is healthy. i think lang's his usual self out there, he's just benefitting from calder's hard work and hudler's shot.

don't worry, mine too. anytime anybody tries to make plans with me in advance i have to say, "wait, let me check and see if there's a wings game." no kidding. it's kind of pathetic really.

i just can't understand why babs is hell bent on putting sammy with dats. could somebody enlighten me? i don't get it. he completely drags that line down.

is it in the nhl rule books that sammy has to shoot as soon as he crosses the blue line???
