pits was the better team this series and deserved it. as much as i hate seeing crosby hoist that cup, they deserved it. the wings never seemed to have the consistent fire you need to win in the finals. none the less, that's the second best season you can have.

although zetterberg played well, you have to pin a lot of that on him. he had three golden opportunities that he didn't capitalize on. one hit the post, the other two he threw right into fleury.

exactly. but this was game ******* six, with the cup on the line. if they don't win tonight, they're in an elimination game. terrible ******* time to play leisurely.

i'm comparing the seeming lack of desire tonight. i'd rather have a team that loses composure than a team that loses desire. that was my point. the wings didn't look like they gave a s*** tonight. at least when the pens went nuts in game five it was because they wanted to win so badly.

evidently the two days in between games weren't enough rest. the wings decided they needed to rest for the first two periods of tonights game, as well.

i know you were. the pens lost composure, for sure, big time, in game five. my point was that at least the pens had some passion in game five, however misdirected it was. the wings had nothing tonight. they didn't lose their composure tonight, they just didn't want to win nearly as bad as the pens. now they've put themselves in a pretty s***ty situation. anything can happen. they've left it up to chance. and if they come out in game seven like they did tonight i'm going to break my ******* tv.

i didn't expect the pens to lay down and die, but sure as hell didn't expect the wings to lay down and die, either. they laid a big fat ******* lazy egg tonight.

at least they showed some ******* passion. the wings just skated around like a sunday stroll tonight. i'm truly baffled.

they should have ******* responded tonight. you don't ******* take half the night off in game six. i'm so ******* pissed!!

it's beyond belief, really. this is game of six of the finals!!! where the f*** were the wings for the first two periods? of all the games to come out flat. unbelievable!!!!!!!

c'mon eva. he's not as bad as some might think, but this assessment is as off-base as your assessment of fischer; claiming he was a defenseman that would have won multiple norris trophies.

kronwall hasn't turned into the player the wings had hoped. he shows some big upside, but he's proven many times over he's prone to poor decisions. this is the problem i've had with him all along. well, that and his injuries, but he hasn't been so injury prone lately. i don't think kronwall will ever think the game well enough to be a legitimate one or two d-man. he's an occasional big-hitter with good offensive upside. he doesn't have a great shot, and he's guaranteed to make costly mistakes eventually.

to say our pp has been less than solid is a bit of an understatement. to say our pk has sucked is being generous. our pk has sucked all playoffs. this series, our pk is atrocious. i'd like to see the data on teams winning the cup with a pp clicking at 10% and a pk at 56%! i'm not going to look it up, but i'd be willing to bet it's damn near zero. it's hard to believe that any team is going to win the cup being that badly out-played on specialty teams. our pp is 10% this series. we've got one goal on our pp. they've got one goal on our pp. the likelihood of them getting a shorty on our pp, given the evidence, is 10%. our pk is 56%. any more questions from the short bus? GTFO

basically, the pens are just as likely to score on our powerplays as we are, and you know the wings are going to give up at least on goal on the pk every game. so i'm with you. no more penalties.

really? i didn't hear that. either way, i'm not believing anything anybody says until i see him in the lineup saturday. we've been jerked around ever since pav went down. every day is some new bs.

we'd need pav back first, which i'm not convinced is going to happed.

z looks ragged out there. he's looking like he's out of gas. i think babs rode him too hard game three when he was already worn out. tonight he was a bit of a liability on more than one occasion, and it's not often you'd say that about z. wings need some rest.

here's a little food for thought... after this game, pitsburg now has as many goals on our powerplay as we do. talk about s***ty specialty teams. the wings might want to dig their heads out of their collective asses. we have one pp goal, have given up a shorty, and have given up 4 goals on our pk. we have been the better five on five team. if we can get our specialty teams in line (that might be a tall order for the pk considering it's been s*** all year long), i'd like our chances a whole lot more. as it is, this is going to be an uphill battle if our pp continues to be ineffective and our pk continues to be invisible. if those factors don't turn around, i don't like our chances very much.

to be fair, though, we helped them a hell of a lot opening up the ice by our d giving the puck away on our ozone blue line about ten times. that can't happen against anybody. you play a game like that, most teams in the league are gonna rip you apart, let alone a team with players like crosby and malkin.

i'd say it's a wash, too. games one and two were pretty even. i thought we played the better game 3, and of course, got destroyed in game four. maybe a slight edge to pits because the only convincing win has been this one. all the others could have gone either way. bottom line, wings need to wake the f*** up. two more efforts like tonight and it's golf time sans cup.

more concerning is the wings losing nearly every ******* face off in our zone on pk's and even more concerning is the inability to clear a puck! clear the damn puck! god!!!!

wings are a turnover ******* machine tonight. kronwall has been especially brutal. get your head in the ******* game kronner, jesus! the officiating is unbelievable. i think this is the first i've complained about it. unbelievable. the officials either don't have any ******* clue what they're doing out there, or there is something suspicious going on. i'm tired of it. what's worse, there's nothing we can do.

considering our pk was one of the worst in the league all year long with pavel and draper perfectly healthy, nope that's not the answer. our pk has been terrible all season and all playoffs. no reason to think it's going to turn around now. makes it hard to win a series when the opposition is scoring power play is sitting at 50 % this series. ******* pathetic!
