i'm gonna have a heart attack. huge save by oz on the last pk!!!!
-
looks like babs heard me. flip, dats, homer!
-
exactly, and if they do, sammy shoots immediately!
-
drapers line looks great tonight. lang's line's good too, creating lots of chances.
-
wow, our pp is looking pathetic. kronwall looks bad...again. that said, better period by far than the first. babcock, please put filppula in sammy's place, please!!
-
seriously? i thought the wings looked terrible. the puck was in our zone the whole time and we took three stupid penalties. i guess the boston shelllacking didn't get their blood flowing.
-
until the wings show they have what it takes to succeed in the post-season i'm going to err on the side of caution. i like this team better than last year's, actually, but they still have the tendency to take at least one period off a night, usually two. that kind of attitude just doesn't cut it in the playoffs. it will be interesting if we can get everybody healthy, but that goes two ways: we'll have a lot more talent, but less chemistry. i think it is wishful thinking to think bert is gonna come in and instantly gel and make a difference. that usually takes time (although it seems calder has fit in almost instantly), and who knows what kind of game shape he'll be in, after all, it'll have been almost five months since he last played (if he even makes it back, his return has been postponed so many times). so i'm not expecting much. that doesn't mean i'm not excited!!! and i hope they can get deep, if they get deep, who knows. but i'm not counting on it and won't be surprised if this year isn't any different than the last 3. there is a difference between pessimism and realism. there's nothing wrong with thinking the wings don't have what it takes. it's opinion, people shouldn't take it so personally.
-
kronwall's main problem is that he thinks he's more talented than he is, that or he doesn't respect the talent of the players he faces. he rushes the puck when he should stay back and be sound possitionally, he tries to set up plays that are picked off easily when he should just make the simple pass, he goes for the "big hit" when he should be sitting back. i do see his talent. but unfortunately he isn't able to put it together. also, he is injury prone, which sucks. i haven't been impressed with him much at all this season. he should be laying back and learning the ropes instead of trying to make the big plays because at this juncture he is much more of a liability than an asset when he's trying to make the big plays. that's the main reason lebda (well, that and his speed) has been, imo, a better d-man this year. lebda's improved throughout the year and has taken time and learned from the old guys. kronwall hasn't improved this year, imo. anyway, that's my two cents.
-
did he? i forget, i thought it was 1-2. either way, the 22nd will put him at almost a month.
-
that sucks, z was supposed to be one to two weeks, it's already been over two weeks. i hope it's nothing serious.
-
i've never been a sammy fan. but he's not terrible. i think he's more of a third line player, and hopefully with everybody healthy that's where he'll end up. i do get sick of his shots from the blue line that kinda just trickle into the chest of the goalie when nobodies even infront of the net.
-
hey, maltby leads the team in =/-, well..., - agreed. maltby doesn't play with much of an edge at all anymore, imo.
-
yes, i know.
-
yeah, i've never been a sammy fan anyway. i thought pav with homer and flip was good.

well, if fact, were you to ski above 25,000 feet for an extended period, this would be the case. as it is, no ski resorts are up that high. the body is able to acclimate lower than that. for those who have lived in high altitudes the body has adapted and more efficiently carrys o2 throughout the body. but they are still comsuming less oxygen than they would at sea-level. i'm afraid that's it, you can spin your argument any way you want. the bottom line is that you consume less o2 at higher altitudes.
-
yes, quite. increase hemoglobin has nothing to do with consumption. the higher the altitude, the less o2 the body comsumes. period.
-
okay...
-
the less pressure, the less o2 is consumed by the body.
-
i feel like they don't show up for 60 most of the time. they have the talent to win anyway, but sometimes it burns them.
-
must be the thin mountain air, not enought o2?
-
LOL
-
do you just come on here to rip on posters? are you really short? does your wife lay out your clothes for you in the morning.
-
okay, just checking, i mean, it's pretty obvious, but i'll drop it.
-
so you seriously don't think this game is osgood's fault????
-
i'm so glad the wings always use these games against the bottom feeders to get the easy two points and gain some ground on nashville.
