imagine losing z and dats too. these guys are small. it doesn't take a whole lot put them down (of courese you have to hit them first, they're so shifty ) but they get run into the ground and nobody does anything. god, it's so frustrating. almost as frustrating as losing 6-1 to the flyers.

joey should have had that goal, no doubt. but he's not responsible for the floodgates openning. the wings completely fell apart and joey didn't have much of a chance on the last three. the wings need to step up. especially when the goalie is a rookie and has like 8 games or whatever to his credit. i think they've come to rely to heavily on the brilliance of hasek.

exactly, it's pathetic. homer gets his ass kicked every night simply for standing outside of the crease (and reputation ) we let them sit infront of the goalie all night long. hell, they can even take a run at him, we don't care.

tonight wasn't joey's fault. he was left out to dry big time. the only goal i'd fault him on is umberger's shorty. but lidstrom still should have had better possition on umberger (lids played awful tonight). his rebound control is pretty bad, but that really wasn't the problem tonight.

not to mention macdonald. as much as our goalies get roughed up on this team and the guys hardly bat an eye. i don't know about bert, however. he's too big of a question mark health-wise. especially since he won't play most likely bofore the deadline. he's not nearly as tough as he was before his suspension, either.

of course they're going for first. you always want first. you really think babcock said before the game, " alright guys, layoff tonight, we're gaining to much ground on nashville." you really think they want to play san jose in the first round? that team will run us into the ground. literally.

thank you! exactly. unfortunately i don't think kenny will do much. we have a lot of talent, but it has no space. it's been the same for the last few years and this years team is even softer than last years. it's so frustrating. especially when holland promised to address this very issue last off-season. remember that whole "expect 8 new faces" and " our focus is adding grit to this team" crap. who'd we get, uh, norton?? if anything, the last couple of seasons should have showcased as much, but here we are.

first of all, babcock needs to find a way to get this team to play 60 minutes. he even said himself when he was interviewed mid-way through the second "we'll get it going as the game goes on." what kind of an attitude is that for a coach to have. this team needs to quit taking periods off because they think they can just pull away in the third.

my guess is hollad doesn't do much at all. and after the deadline he will say "i didn't feel like we needed to add anything, we're confident in our team, look at our record." and after another early playoff exit and a promise of adding grit as next season rolls around, "we don't feel the need to add anything, we're confident in our team, look at our record in the regular season." this team won't go anywhere in the playoffs as soft as they are. especially since they're hell bent on not taking the division and staying if fourth in the west which will almost certainly pit us up against the biggest team in the league in san jose.

well that sucked. i would hate to be a goalie in detroit. how many times can our goalies get run over without a wing saying so much as peep. this is the softest team we've ever had.

that was a fun game to watch. it's nice when everything's going in. good game! yeah i was pissed!!!! what an ass. what will it take for holland to get somebody who will step up????

i'm not impressed with kronwall either. i think he has a tendency to make poor and costly decisions and frequently tries to do too much. he's always looking for open ice hits, no matter the cost, and tries to stick handle it across the blue line going through two or three forwards like he thinks he's zetterberg or datsyuk. i think he'll be plagued with injury problems because of his size and style of play. i like lebda much better at this point. i wish kronwall would just focus on defense. i'm nervous every time he's the last man back. it sucks because i had such high hopes for him this year. it is early in his career, so you never know what he will turn into. but i'm not impressed at all right now.

not that i'm glad we lost, but in a way i am, the wings need to learn that they can't keep winning games by skipping out on the first two periods. yeah, and they just won five and gained quite a bit of ground the preds and ducks, so that's good. i just hope they don't lose three in a row again and lose all the ground they've made up the past few weeks. edit: wow, terrible spelling.

they deserved the loss, though. the blues came out swinging. we should have had a couple i agree, but the blues could have had a whole lot more at the same time. so, maybe bad luck we were shut out, but not the loss. who knows. i like manny, but he's a wuss.
