Many of our young players have some much needed postseason experience and I think our defense will be improved with Rafalski instead of Schneider. Schneider was always a liability! That is terrible!! I am glad you stood up for her. These types of fans need directions to the EXIT of the arena. I just can't believe a real man/ hockey fan would do this in front of children. I guess the DET-NASH battles are leaking to the stands. I love the competition that Nashville gives us, its great, I am glad they are competitive. Its seems to be more likely now that we run into these types of fans. I am sure it will happen again. We just have to be the better man and bigger hockey fan. Show em Red the next two games in Nashville! GO WINGS!!

Most of the Preds fans I have met and know are great fans. Hockey has been in Nashville for almost 10 years, I have witnessed most of it, and it shows with the knowledge that the fans have now. They love the sport and their team. It's just a few fans I have encountered that have crossed the line. Which usually happens everywhere, in every sport. I am there to cheer my team. I may counter the "You Suck" comments during the announcement of the starting lineups with my own "You Suck" to the Nashville starting lineup. I also may counter the "Chelios is a Sissy" chants with "Lets see you play at 45" or "Kariya is a Baby". Also, countering the "Hasek, Hasek, you suck" with the Preds goalie name instead. But its all in good fun and its always an immediate reply to the Nashville fan chants. Everyone laughs at my replies. Its a great place to see a hockey game, especially when the Wings are in town. Thanks for the post Legionnaire11. I will be at the games on the 13th and 29th, with the Winged-Wheel across the chest and my Lets Go Red Wings chants. It should be interesting down the stretch. I sat next to Dino Cicarelli at the bar at Champps on Hall Road. This was 2 or three years ago. He was a cool guy. I didnt bother him much, just said hello. I met Larry Murphy last year at a Wings game here in Nashville. We sat in the upper deck right below the announcers booth. I got his autograph and a picture taken with him and Ken Daniels.

I was at the last DET-NASH game in Nashville. Wearing my Shanny jersey and supporting the team. I was sitting in the upper deck behind the goal. It was the third period and Hank had a breakaway, at the other end of the rink. I stood up in excitement and this Preds fan behind me yelled 'SIT DOWN'!! I turned around and told this guy to shut up and told him that I stood up for the breakaway. He decided to continue running his mouth and told me to 'F@#$ Off'. I had a couple more words for him and left it at that. I wanted to watch the game and not deal with this guy. I was practically the only Wings fan in that section. I have been going to Wings games in Nashville Since 1999, when I moved down here, and this is the third time a Preds fan has been out of line. Standing up during penalty shots, breakaways, big hits, whatever...is part of being a fan and part of going to a hockey game. This guy needs to understand that we are at a hockey game, not the opera!!!

I hope he can perform like he did in the past, otherwise this is a bust. I know Chelios said 10 days ago that they should pick up Bertuzzi, but can they get along? It should be interesting to hear Chelios comment on this trade. I know Bertuzzi played against the Avs a lot in the Northwest Division, maybe he can give some hell to Floppa when we play Nashville!!
