I had to shave today because of work (teacher). I did so right before the Wings game which honestly made me think they might not win but I guess I was wrong. I already miss my playoff beard. RIP playoff beard RIP April 10th - April 15th

Born and raised in Bismarck, North Dakota (anyone ever been to or heard of it). When I was a kid the Jets were on thier way out and the Stars were in Dallas so there was no real home team. I started watching NHL hockey during the 97 season. The game in March was the clincher for me. I have absolutly loved the Wings and hated the Av's since.

So now the Wings have officially made the playoffs. With the playoffs come playoff traditions. For my friends and me we have a tradition of buying a playoff cigar when our team makes the playoffs and smoking the cigar when our team exits or wins the cup. This tradition holds a special meaning for me. The first year I did this tradition, the Wings won the cup in the 2002 playoffs. I have continued ever since. So I was thinking about this the other day and was wondering, what traditions do you follow? I am interested to see what it is we all do.
