The Canucks will finish off Colorado ... they play back to back games on Sunday & Tuesday. The way that the Canucks are playing in front of Luongo's brilliant goaltending ... watch out for those nuckleheads. They could go deep into the playoff rounds.

Sheesh. I vacate this board for a couple of years, and some sorta Bertuzzi lovefest breaks out among the Wings fans on these boards !! When Todd was a Canuck, Wings fans absolutely roasted him, often, on these threads. Now that Todd's a Wing ... most of you figure he's "OK". That's kinda ironic. Most of the posts on this thread read like they coulda been lifeted from the Canucks' Fan Forum boards post-Moore incident. Anyway ... you've got him now, for better or for worse. Most Vancouver fans wish Todd well, on a human level. He went through hell, and was punished worse than just about any hockey player ever was ... and the punishment isn't over, as Moore's lawyers are intent on sucking every dollar out of him they can get. In fact, Moore's parents are even in on this lawsuit ... they stand to make a fair chunk of money out of it as well. Anyway, when Bert wants to play hockey, he's a force to be reckoned with. We found, many nights in Vancouver, that Todd just wanted to "float". Maybe that was because (in private) he didn't get along well with Crawford. I noticed that Todd even had his chistrap done up in those practice photo's ... he never woulda done that for Crawford ... that was just one of many little things that "Crow" would ride Bert on. Bert was never the same, post-Moore, in Vancouver. He was a broken man, despite the brave words ... "it is what it is" ... how many times did we hear that soundbite on vancouver radio stations? Anyway ... Bert, we wish you the best. Hope you get your career and your personal life back on track. Best wishes ...

What a difference 2 years makes. Back then, Todd was a canuck, and post-Moore incident, one of the most hated names in hockey on this board. So now he's a Wing, everything's suddenly OK ? Hopefully, he can focus on getting his life and career back on track. Financially, he's in a mess since Moore is aggressively advancing a lawsuit that would bankrupt the guy. Hopefully, the Wings will support Todd through this.

Bertuzzi impresses Babcock in first practice
Don_Cherry_says replied to Louisville's topic in General
OK, now listen up. When that Bertuzzi vs. Steve Moore thing happened over 2 years ago, and Bertuzzi was playing for the Canucks, the fans on this BB went nuts. I never saw so much scathing diatribe in my life. My how times have changed. Now that "Bert" is a Wing ... "all is forgiven" ... it's kiss and makeup time. Well he's not out of the woods yet. Bertuzzi is still getting his rear-end sued by Moore's high-priced lawyers, and they're looking to bankrupt him. I don't agree with that, but what do you expect from lawyers, and a career 4th line player ? Bert is still well-liked by most Canucks fans, and they want to see him get on with his life. He was never the same player in Vancouver, post-Moore incident ... and his own personal baggage weighed down others in the locker room. Crawford publicly defended Todd, but in private, they didn't like each other. In fact, looking at the photo's of Bert at practice, I note he has his chin strap done up. That's something he never did in practice for Crawford, and one of the little things they used to battle over. The Canucks ar a better team without Bert, but most Canucks fans wish him well. Hope you get your life and career back on track, Bert.
