a 2nd rounder is definitely a steep price for a player of his calibre, from an entertainment standpoint I'd say yes... any realistic chance? no... not for a 2nd rounder but he's big, fast, skilled, and one mean son of a ***** that I'd love to have on the team

He hasn't been amazing defensively but he's been good enough. He'll dazzle you once a period with a backcheck or forecheck and then disappear for the rest of the period, I guess those once a period heroics have really caught the eye of a certain someone. Either way, he's making 7 and a half million dollars!

what's the obsession with Leino? we scored 5 goals today and won, but to me this was the only game so far this playoffs the Wings were outhit (NHL.com says by 1, seemed like more).. Abdelkader has been playing great he's responsible and takes the body, when he was put on a line with Helm in the 2nd/3rd they created a lot of opportunities

the puck won't be in the Wings' end long enough for Byfuglien to become a factor like he was in the Vancouver series, he won't be even close to as effective as he was in round 2

I was hoping Datsyuk, in his absolute prime, would have been able to at least show up against grandpa Niedermayer but I guess that's asking for a little too much. "They are teeing off on each other!" Um....not quite, it was completely one sided.... puke.

Helm has been UNREAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd honestly say he is our 3rd best all-around forward right now behind Zetterberg and Datsyuk

Ovechkin's time will come that's for sure, the way he flys around the ice and acts like he owns the NHL it's only a matter of time before he is completely laid out, no doubt about that, he's lucky Brashear's on his team
