With Ellis up with Detroit, who do you guys think will be the Griffin's captain? maybe Quincey?
-
no problem you must have made this post after the 1st period? the guys streaming the Wing's game tonight was a 1st timer and he had problems in the 2nd and 3rd with sound and freezing but he did say he's working on it and will be back... good to know
-
no problem man, good to hear you got it working, and Flogging Molly is the s*** by the way, I'm aware this may not be 100% legal so I guess those worried about that have already taken note, but I couldn't care less, half the things we do on the internet isn't technically legal ... ironically I'm only using SopCast because my ILLEGAL satellite has been getting zapped a lot lately, figures eh
-
not that the Wings are involved with this or anything....but man would I love Sean O'Donnell here...
-
For anyone who doesn't get this game on TV and wants to watch it (and ALL games ALL year)... I just threw up a new thread with step by step instructions to get all games on your computer for free
-
Downey will have a go with either Voros or Fedoruk, that I'll book, not so much Lilja
-
if "way late" is like 1/4 of a second i agree
-
WOOOO!!!
-
who cares what they did in junior, in the show is what matters: Kostopolous: 249gp 26g 48a 74p -30 Fedoruk: 365gp 17g 50a 67p -6 sure Kostopolous is a bit better of a scorer but Fedoruk is much more physical and from a toughness stand point you are basically upgrading the worst middleweight in the league (Kosto) to a potential top 10 heavyweight (Fridge)..which Montreal really needs
-
if that backhand went in would it be considered a triple play? here's a better question, if Downey scores on that play... do we still get the 5 on 3? I really doubt it... we would be lucky to get a 5 on 4 I'd think
-
yeah he is gonna be amazing I'm pumped to see him develop... he was almost undefeated in the WHL fighting all the heavies (lil Boogaard a few times) and now hes dominating some of the better middleweights in the NHL... in a few years I'm sure he will be fighting the likes of Laraque, Brashear, McGrattan, etc...
-
lack of raw talent sure, but he is one of the few enforcers (Laraque being another) that actually know how to use their size to their advantage and get a strong cycle going... if a guy like Tom Kostopolous can play 10-12 minutes a game in Montreal theres no reason Fedoruk can't
-
and why can't Fedoruk play on a 3rd line? He's a 6-8 minutes a game guy....capable of 20 points a year and he was a great fighter.. until last year's beat downs he was probably a top 10 guy in the league... and he has had some boring fights not but he also had a good showing against Shawn Thornton this year who is definitely no slouch
-
Ok so Fedoruk doesn't play the PK, that can be summed up in 1 sentence you don't have to bust a paragraph and stats to rip the guy... Anyways, it is sad to see but hopefully he does find "his game" again. His game being a 20 point heavyweight enforcer who can easily take a regular shift on the 3rd and 4th lines and take on anyone in the league. I hope for the best... I hope Montreal takes a crack at him.

That is ridiculous that Downey is being scratched over Drake, why?!! They have said time and time again that Drake is "not a first half player" and that he is not full time either. Jim Vandermeer suckered Zetterberg twice last game and this would be a perfect opportunity to get Downey in there and ensure that does not happen again. A visored Drake playing 5 minutes a game is more valuable than Downey for this game? I don't understand this decision AT ALL... it really gets me frustrated
-
Howe seldomly fought...he played a tough brand of hockey but more so with his elbows and stick than his fists....from what I've been told, so it's believable that he didn't have many goal/assist/fight games when your only in a 1-2 fights a year
-
Big night tonight... Laraque vs. Orr Brashear vs. McGrattan undercard I'm looking forward to is: Erksine vs. Neil hopefully I'm not disappointed
-
Tootoo would have to touch the puck to get hit
-
I wish I felt the same way... I'd feel better knowing there was a cageless Drake at the opposite end of the ice, personally. There is very little chance that Tootoo will fight Downey, whatever happens will likely give Nashville a PP

I watched that game and although I hate Perry I give him a ton of credit and gained a bit of respect for him.. Carcillo (Coyote's tough guy) was after Perry all game and Moen came to Perry's aid at the start of the 2nd period and had a nice draw with Carcillo but then Perry took it upon himself to fight Carcillo the 2nd time and held his own. Yeah he didn't lose the visor but when a guy is hunting you down all game it's a little more acceptable compared to the Dallas Drake fight where your fighting against an aged veteran with a fair square off... Drake hardly has the fight card that Carcillo does and this scrap had no square off... it's nice to see some of the new generation super stars keeping it old school by fighting their own battles
-
so basically he was pursued into the fight and had no real interest? or did he atleast oblige to fight, just couldn't get anything going?

This is my first time seeing Logan Pyett and Cory Emmerton play and I was really excited, but so far they haven't really done anything noticeable. I rarely see Pyett out there so I can't really comment on him, but Cory Emmerton has been getting decent ice time and hasn't made the most of it. From what I've read about Emmerton he does show signs of it being true, I can see he has nice hands and playmaking ability and he's not afraid of traffic or going to the net, but he just looks a stride behind everyone else out there. Is he a below average skater? He is often a step behind on the forecheck and to the puck and doesn't look very strong on his skates. And I know they often give an inch or two when doing player's stats but there is NO WAY Emmerton is even close to 6'0 190, he looks like he is along the lines of 5'8 170. I'm hoping he gets some offense in the last 4 games of the series in Canada. Anyone else been watching him? And I am by no means counting him out or putting him down I really wish the best for him.
