What I wonder is does that mean Lindback is most likely the new starter in Tampa? Or will they sign someone else to compete for the number one spot? From the article it looks like Roloson isn't going to be resigned and they traded Caron to the Preds.

Semin at 7 million? Yikes! If it was 2-3 years ago then hell yeah! As far as Franzen goes we all know you dislike him but I would hate having him, Semin, and Hudler. That I think would be a nightmare. I am with you on that part Sam; no HUDLER!!!!!! You know what my biggest nag about Hudler is? I WILL TELL YOU; WHEN BABCOCK GETS ALL EXCITED AND USES HIM IN EVERY SHOOTOUT DETROIT HAS. The guy is AWFUL on shootouts. All he does is skate in and shoot. Mind you not even a good shot. Damn him lol. There are so many better choices but Babs lovesssss to use him. Anyways enough of my rant. But Franzen at 4m > Semin at 7m > Hudler at any amount lol. That was kind of a all over the place kind of post, my bad. Bottom line is like I said before: SAY-NO-TO-HUDLER!

Ehh no so much, just getting together tonight with some old friends for drinks. The person below me cannot just go the grocery store for the single item they went in for; Instead end up spending a lot more money.

Facebook! Even though lately I don't post hardly at all; Just read the news feed! Monster energy drinks or Redbull energy drinks?

Exactly what I thought when I read that. I know Chelios was a long time Hawk but he also played a fair number of years for the wings as well. If he didn't have a job within our organization I could see this being 100% true since like I said he played in Chicago for the prime of his career. Butttttttttttt since he's working with the Wings no way in hell he would do something like that. He doesn't strike me as someone who would do it behind the wings backs either.

With all the Suter and Parise talk getting a little bit out of control I figured I would throw this out there to mix it up a bit. Over on CBS Sports they posted a list of the odds for everyteam at winning the cup. You can click here for the complete list or just look at the quote below: Curious as to everyones thoughts. Argree? Disagree? If anyones up for it I would like to see some personal rankings, even its just the top 10. I will post mine after I mull it over some. I will say this though, I cannot believe Pittsburgh is number one. They should be in the top 10 but there are teams I think with better odds then them. Oh the love that people have for the Pens.

There is just so much Penguin love outside of Detroit. I will say this, I don't hate the Pen's like some wings fans do. To me they are just "ehhh whatever". But they sure get over praised I will say that. I agree with you; Fleury is decent but he collapses from time to time. I think thats why they signed Vokoun. That right there shows that they aren't 1000000% confident in "THE FLOWER".

Haha his accent is awesome when he says "I went and had a big mac meal at MAC donalds. Lol!

2012 SCF : Los Angeles Kings vs. New Jersey Devils
Hockey13Playa replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Haha that is awesome! In the words of Kelso from that 70's show: -
You are entitled to your opinion but I don't think I would use the word "fluke". To call the Kings that who whipped ass all the way through the playoffs against the 1,2,3 seeds and knocking off a somewhat strong Devils team isn't really considered a "fluke". Are they a dynasty? No, but fluke just is such a poor word choice.

So one would think... sadly enough 1-2 million extra on top of the crazy amounts they already get sometimes overpowers a players choice. Perfect example was in the NBA; Ben Wallace left the Pistons to go to the Bulls said he needed to provide for his family. I forget the lengh of his contract but it was something like 42 million offered by the Pistons and 48 from the Bulls. At the time the 'stones still had their key pieces and could of went back to the finals. My point is you need that extra few million to provide for your family? Really? LOL. Its like some of the players just don't care about that ultimate prize. Side note<<<<<<< BASKETBALL SUCKS

Thank your for the obvious post. I think we all know that. It was an opinion that he/she doesn't want to see the cup in LA.
-
Yeah I know that, I meant in general throughout the NHL. Just look back through the years of the 90's. There were a lot more bone crushing hits then todays softy NHL. We still got some big hitters but in my opinion checking was a lot better then.
-
That would be perfect!

I've watched all these videos a million and one times but it never fails, I get goosebumps every single time. I love the Red wings!
-
I thought for sure this was a bluesadams thread. I feel like we have so manyyyyy of these threads and they ALL are the pretty much the same thing. Maybe swapping a player or two. Anyways I don't know about Semin, he will want to much and is known for being lazy. It would be intriguing to see him play with Datsyuk but not sure if that outweighs his known laziness.
-
Good thinking lol!
-
That's a good question. On the article itself it was published today but who knows when the actual list/odds were determined. But I agree if we land them we could jump. I would expect this list to change a bit by the time October comes. As of this exact day I am not sure who I would put at the 1-5 spot. It is so tough making a list like this.

2012 LGW Playoff Picks Game: Final Standings
Hockey13Playa replied to NeverForgetMac25's topic in General
Thanks for doing this, I appreciate it! Congrats to HockeyCrazy3033 on taking the crown! I will take an 8th place finish. Not to shabby! -
Damn do I miss hits like that. I can't believe its been 15 years already also. Time sure does fly. Anyone have a time machine I can borrow? I have to go back to the 90's!
-
In my opinion he is a punk/goon type more so then a hard working physical player. From what I've seen of him he seems like he has a sucky attitde too. isn't that why the Av's shipped him out in the first place?
-
I second that. I cannot stand him, never have and never will. Just one of those players that piss you off lol. But like you said, never want to see a player go out in that fashion regardless of who it is.
-
Care to elaborate on that please?
-
Seriously? Another Parise thread. Oh jeeeez lol. Anyways... Nothing in that article says " I want to stay a Devil". He simply states he likes the team, the players, the organization, etc. Like people have been saying on these boards for years; You think that he's going to say The Devils blow I want out, this team is a piece of s*** and I can't wait for July 1st. No, he wouldn't. A lot of it comes to financials too which the Devils are lacking. I still think he leaves New Jersey. Of course I want him here in Detroit but if he signs in Minnesota then all I can say is wow, so much for your cup contender mentality.
-
Simply put, no. This guy has never really gained my attention or done anything that makes me want him in the winged wheel. Would he help us? Sure! But I just, I don't know, don't really care for him. Plus like stated above the Blues are on the rise and they wouldn't let Detroit nab him. Again RFA = Most likely not going to happen.
