Here's the link; I'm on my iPhone. So I hope this works. http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/2011/12/red_wings_in_talks_with_nhl_to.html That would be very cool, I'd love to see it at Comerica. Wouldn't feel the same in Ann Arbor. As far as an opponent I'm not sure who I'd like to see us play. I have to think about it. I'd love to go to the game though! Discuss! EDIT: Link should work now, updated on my laptop instead of iPhone!

Thanks guys, finally joined the college of winterhold. Did my first quest. Also disenchanted a few things that were meaningless to me, so I am going to work on that. I just am having a hard time deciding what I pant to spend my "perks" on for my skill set. I've used a few on sneak, deciding what to spend the majority of them on though... Any suggestions on that? I am a dark elf. I think i might use light armor since if i use a lot of magic, wearing robes doesn't provide much armor. Also maybe pick pocketing, love to ****** peoples stuff Side note, anyone that plays this have you had any of the "hired thugs" after you? I had three attack me in Riverwoods and I killed them all, then looted their bodies to find one had a note on who hired them to kill me, love the small things in a game like this.

Wings to host NHL Winter Classic within next 2 years
Hockey13Playa replied to Hockey13Playa's topic in General
I would tend to agree with you. You know what else would be cool, like there doing with Philly this year, having the legend of doom; have Modano be a part of it. Being he started there and finished here. I think that could be neat. -
Wings to host NHL Winter Classic within next 2 years
Hockey13Playa replied to Hockey13Playa's topic in General
How would that work with people only attending one game? Especially the second game with all the trash and what not? I think it would be a total zoo for people coming/going at the same time. It would be awesome for record setting attendance purposes but I think at Comerica it would have more of a "Detroit feel'. Considering Illch owns the team I am sure he would lobby pretty hard for the Wings to play in Detroit's Comerica instead of the Big House. -
I was watching the NHL network earlier and they were talking about a possible coaching change/Bobby Ryan trade for the Ducks. I forgot which analyst was speaking but he said he thinks the reason for the Ryan trade was partly due to Ryan not getting along with Carlyle. He proceeded to say if Carlyle was fired he thought Ryan would likely stay in Anaheim. If the ducks decided to keep Carlyle he thought Ryan would more then likely get traded. Now that they got Washington's scraps behind the bench Ryan could very well remain a duck. I am not saying I agree or disagree with any of it, just restating what was said on the NHL Network. Basically bottom line if one happened, then the other wouldn't. With that being said I think they should trade Ryan, he is one hell of a player but they need some back end talent. The supposed rumor on what the Ducks were looking for was a top six center, a defenseman, and a first round draft pick/top end prospect. I think if the Ducks could in fact receive all that they will pull the trigger.

Philadelphia Flyers Unveil Winter-Classic Jersey
Hockey13Playa replied to Wing Across The Pond's topic in General
Seeing as the Flyers are my second favorite team, I don't mind them. I mean the jerseys aren't really true "throwbacks" but inspired from different jerseys in their history. With that being said there alright. -
Always liked Hitchcock since his days in Dallas! Best of luck to him.

Link to article: http://www.thefourthperiod.com/news/nas111102.html Now I know LGW loves to talk and conjure up crazy ideas, but its nice to see us getting recognition on a well known site that is usually pretty accurate and doesn't advertise any kind of false information or non-sense. Yes I know everyone has been talking about this and beating it like a dead horse but I am really curious to see if this could/will actually happen. Both of these guys are great talented young defensemen and I would absolutely be thrilled to have one of them wearing the winged wheel. Which of Weber and Suter would you rather have on the wings and who do you think is more likely? I would love to see Weber. He's a big, physical two way defender with a cannon for a shot. I think his style of play and the system we use in Detroit would be a perfect fit. As to whom is more likely I believe it would be Weber as well for one major reason. With all his contract issues this past summer and not signing, holding out, then going into arbitration I think he truly doesn't want to stay in Nashville and due to this he would be the one on the move. We have the cap room, and when the perfect human hangs em' up I think he would be the next best replacement. Thoughts and or comments?
-
I wish he chose #64, and not #22. Oh well! Hope he has a solid game tonight and uses his physical presence in a good way, no stupid penalties!
-
Before opening up this thread I was going to make a silly comment and say the same thing!

This past summer with free agency I would totally agree with you, I knew Detroit wasn't going to nab a high profile, top dollar player. But after everything that has gone on with Weber and Nashville I could see him leaving the music city. I would say its a 50/50 toss up on if Detroit could get him. However, I think he's worth the high end money and wouldn't have a problem giving it to him. Most players I believe are over payed, but he is one player that is worth what he's asking for. I thought the same thing when reading that, I thought he was an UFA too... maybe it was a typo on TFP's part.

Was at last years home opener. So glad I can say I was a part of that. It was an awesome game. I would like to say that most likely will be Pavel's only Gordie Howe Hatrick so it was totally sweet to be a part of it!
-
I just seen that on Facebook as well. I thought the exact same thing. That Osgood is going to hang em' up.
-
Poor guy, what the hell happened to him, since leaving San Jose he's been nothing bu a bust! EDIT: Wow poor grammar.
-
Oh dear God this would make me one happy man if he lands in Philly.
-
I would have to say no thanks. If we are going to sign a cheap free agent there are better options out there then Arnott. He's to washed up in my opinion.
-
Very unlikely, but I am right there with you on that. MY GOD I would love to see #8 in a Wings Jersey on the blue line with Lidstrom and or Kronwall. DROOOOOLLL

Wings sign D Mike Commodore to 1-year, $1m contract
Hockey13Playa replied to Tim.D's topic in General
I think I just threw up a little in my mouth... I am going to keep my thoughts to myself and leave this post with one word... WOW! -
So glad it wasn't Detroit. Re-up'in with the best team in the NHL... The Florida Panthers
-
The ducks weren't lousy near the end of there (Selanne & Karyia) time together in Anaheim. They went to game 7 of the SCF vs a powerhouse NJD team. s***, the swept the Red wings. I wouldn't call any team lousy that can sweep Detroit. I know in the early years of the Ducks existence though they were pretty bad lol. Good ol' days with Steve Rucchin, Guy Herbert and all them. Hah man I miss the 90's.

Ehh I don't know if I would agree with this or not. I mean don't get me wrong Forsberg was an INCREDIBLE player in my opinion, but I think teams need to stop retiring players numbers so loosely. I mean all those injuries and years off and attempts at comebacks, I don't think he falls into the "retired number category". Now if he was healthy and continued playing throughout the years you bet I would say #21 needs to be hanging up in the rafters. Don't even get me started on the Bourque thing. He played 1 year in an Av's jersey. Boston should be the only place his number is hanging. Look how many years Chelios helped the wings out you don't see his number up hanging...
-
Eh I don't think he is anything special. Over payment to a team I dislike and a player I don't want! So hey this news makes me happy. Never was a fan of him, so way to go Chi-town!
-
Good luck on your future Paul. He was an elite player in his mighty duck days with Temmu, sucks he's gotta go out due to injuries and concussions. Best of luck!

http://www.thefourthperiod.com/news/van110627.html Yup looks like he's signed. Another one bites the dust.
