Here is a link. its a done deal as Mack stated above, Smyth for Fraser and a 7th rounder http://www.thefourthperiod.com/news/edm110626.html

I actually kind of like them if these infact are the real deal. No team wears a home yellow sweater so I think they are cool, something different. The subtile logo update was good too. There are a few things they could fix on those jerseys if they are what they'll be wearing but they are certainly better then the previous edge set. THOSE WERE A HOT MESS!

Here is a link to the Pred's new leaked jerseys.... http://www.icethetics.info/blog/2011/6/23/predators-new-jerseys-leaked.html What does everyone think about them?! EDIT: Nevermind, didnt see they were posted above. disregard post.

Yes, I would agree 100% with you if this is to happen. They are heading in the right direction that is for sure.
-
Aggressive behavior yes, playoff team no. I don't think they have what it takes yet. They have two strong players in Carter and Nash now. There defense is way to shaky and Mason has been inconsistent. I think they need to add a few more higher end players before becoming a "real" playoff team.

...Preparing the noose right now! Can you kick the chair from underneath?

http://eye-on-hockey.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/27694626/30214360 Looks like its pretty much done and those are the players being swapped. DAMN YOU HOLMGREN!

I like the team and the make up of players, been my favorite team besides Detroit for quite some time now. But I totally agree with you that Richards to LA makes the Kings pretty damn scary. Look for them. They are only going to get better with there young core of players. ***WISHFUL thinking*** --- Being a Doughty fan I would love for him to be part of this package but I don't see this happening unfortunately. I don't think that they were really cancers at all. Its Holmgren. The guy is a nut. He's known to pull of some very risky trades that make him look like a genius of a fool! And yeah man I am a huge Flyers fan so this upsets me more then a little bit.
-
UGH!!!! Again being a huge Flyers fan this TOTALLY BLOWS! Two top pieces to the Flyers getting traded upsets me. This is really bad. They should of got rid of Versteeg and Leino. I can understand having to trade one for some cap space but trading both of these guys is brutal. Dislike.

I second that!

Wow, very interesting. I like the idea of this. I am all for the wings moving east due to time zone differences but I actually like playing the west coast teams and the "sort of rivalries" that have built up in the past few years. However I think being back in the east with the orginal 6 teams the NHL could once again gain some great rivalries and interesting matchups. Can't wait to here more on this and to see how it exactly looks on paper once its 100% ironed out. Side note: Gary Bettman is still a little ***** though!
-
Ugh no. Since the Flyers are my 2nd favorite team next to the Red Wings this really sucks (cap issues aside). I hope the Blue Jackets paid a hefty price for him; break the bank Holmgren!!!!

Well it appears as the 2011-2012 Winter Classic is pretty much set. The New York Rangers at the Philadelphia Flyers. Seeing as the Flyers are my favorite NHL team (except for the wings of course) I like the idea of them being in another winter classic game. However, I think there are other teams that should have top priority to the game first; teams who have not played in a winter classic yet. (Mind you I don't think all NHL teams should be able to participate, nor would it make sense). I am just saying there are other teams who should be given the New years day game before other teams double up. This would make for the fourth outdoor game that a Pennsylvania team has played it. WOW! Any ways here is link with the info and a shot at the jerseys that each team would use. I like the throwback idea for Philadelphia; reaching out to there Quaker days. http://www.icethetics.info/blog/2011/6/22/winter-classic-foes-all-but-official.html Lets discuss! Edit: It appears the image on the site is mock-up concept. Regardless, I think it looks pretty damn good!

Latest Rumor: NHL Team Expected to Announce Rebranding in 2012
Hockey13Playa posted a topic in General
This was quoted from a member over at Chris Creamer's sport logo community. (Please do not blame me if you think its nonsense or not happening). Not sure how reliable this speculation actually is but if anyone wants to browse thru this thread please go ahead. http://boards.sportslogos.net/index.php?showtopic=80699 With that being said I thought it brought up some good discussion if it is in fact true. I honestly could say I have no idea on which team it would be. Later in the thread the OP states that a team is NOT relocating so that means a current team is going to "rebrand". My best guess would be Nashville or Carolina... What's everyone else's opinions?! -
Latest Rumor: NHL Team Expected to Announce Rebranding in 2012
Hockey13Playa replied to Hockey13Playa's topic in General
Well over on CCSL they are 15 pages deep speculating on this. If you click the link below you might be able to find something through out all the pages over there. Still in the early stages here no official word as far as I am aware but its still quite some time away also! Anyways here is the link if you're interested. http://boards.sportslogos.net/index.php?showtopic=80699 -
Not sure if this was mentioned, on Facebook the Detroit Sports Nation mentioned a statement about Jagr: . Here is the link as well, http://www.facebook.com/detroitsportsnation

Family reasons or not... I don't think those words would ever come out of my mouth... " I want a trade to Edmonton". s***, hes rich, move your family to LA! No, I know its not that easy but family is #1 priority.

This is sad to see. Its hard to see players getting older and retiring after watching them thru the 90's. I've always been an Osgood fan, even though he has caused me many many frustrations throughout the past several years. I would like to see him back for another year as a backup for the right price (as long as he is 100% healthy) The guy is a world class player and has always expressed his interest and desire to play for the wings franchise. He is a cheap option for a back up goalie and will probably ask for a low salary anyways. As for Draper I have always liked him too, and being the last piece of the grind line its sad to see him near the end of his career. I think he should definitely stick around and take a job in the front office. As far as him wanting to play another year I wouldn't mind it, as long as he doesn't plan to be a regular. Sign him to a cheap two-way contract and I would be fine with this. He's still strong on the face-off circle and would most certainly provide veteran leadership and act as a mentor to our younger players.

All I can say is wow...

I am not a Bruins fan nor am I a Canuck fan but I do like Tim Thomas (and that is awesome he's from Michigan). Congrats to him on winning the Stanley Cup and the Conns Smythe, he deserved it. His playoff run was crazy and his stats are unbelievable!

Quoting you again, love the pic. But agreed. No thanks. Hearing that name makes me cringe. Since leaving Montreal he has been nothing above "average"... And I use that word loosely.
-
Perfect post and picture. No thanks! If this was the Drury of like 6 years ago from Buffalo that tore the league up with Breire then yes! But it's not, so pass for me!
-
Sometimes I wonder about you... We never said the guy can't play but it's just not a smart move to sign a 40 year old veteran who most likely will command a high dollar amount. We have players that can fill his spot in the line up and do just as good. He wouldn't be an upgrade so it's kind of a useless move. I will admit I was a fan of the Modano signing (bearing he's always been my favorite NHL player) and well look how that worked out for us... Give or take a few factors tho between him and Jagr. Bottom line no thank you. I'd consider it I suppose if it was like &1.25 million or less, but I'd rather see that money used elsewhere or saved for the trade deadline.
