Brian Rafalski announces retirement after 11 NHL seasons

Wow... I can't believe it. Before I opened the thread to read the posts I assumed it would be injury related considering he's not really "that old" to retire from the game. If infact true I'm totally curious what's going to happen this off season. We will need some defensive help bigtime. Any chance Brendan Smith ends up on the 3rd parking as a 5/6th d-man. Or maybe some occasional play as the 7th man. -
When is Tarasenko supposed to make the jump to the NHL?

Unless its for under a million (which wont happen) then no thank you.

What a great game that was to be at last night. Great seats and great atmosphere. I only would of changed two things; a wings win in the shootout and if that cry baby Cindy would of played!

Looks like the Pens and Sens made a trade... Pittsburgh brings back Alex Kovalev... Here is a link, but not much on it yet, details to follow... http://www.thefourthperiod.com/news/pit110224.html -
You think he'll be playing full time next year stevekrause? I don't see that happening just yet in my opinion.
-
I had to laugh at that. I noticed that too. I think they have said that about at least 90% of the players so far lol.
-
Agreed, some of those were awful... I've seen much worse.

Care to elaborate on "lol". I don't really see what's to laugh about?

I agree. Get Bettman out, we need someone who will do good for this league and bring it back to how it was 10 years ago. I wonder if he was to leave who would be a good candidate for that position.
-
Lmao! That is awesome.
