LMAO, what does everyone think of this. Curious to hear what everyone has to say. Personally I think its quite funny to see him coaching again, good luck Barry! http://www.thefourthperiod.com/news/tbl080530.html

AMEN!!! I have another good feeling about tomorrows game. 3-1, Osgood blows the shutout in the last 5 minutes of the 2nd period. Detroit Goals by Datsyuk, Lidstrom, and Draper. Pittsburgh Goal by Hossa
-
Awesome, its kind of sad seeing him with no gear on! What a good picture though, good to see him still around the team. Is there any chance he will ever play again? Or what?

Anyone see it? Crosby made a fool of himself. I caught it on ESPN, and hopefully someone else saw and can back me up with this. They were asking him some questions and Crosby asks himself a question out loud, "Did the Wings get many scoring chances" ? ... I don't think so, we played equal games both getting oppurtunities, they didn't get many more then us ( The Penguins). We hit the post here and there and they got some lucky bounces, shots going in off our goaltender, so no I don't think they played much better then us, we just have to make sure we capitalize more. It went something like that, sorry if something is wrong or different, feel free to correct me if anyone watched this. I will admit I love Crosby, hes such a young gifted and very talented player, but after his post game remarks I just had to laugh. What he was was so un true. I mean come on, the Wings didn't get many more scoring chances then the penguins? Yeah right, Look at the goal total, 7-0, and go back to the box scores and look. In my opinion, he made him self look like a complete idiot making that statement. How I took it was he basically was saying the Red Wings got lucky and they haven't been playing any better then the Penguins, that both teams have been playing equal. Whats everyone think, feel free to post if you saw this hopefully someone did!!

LMAO! Sorry, I thought that was funny!

Beautiful goal. I was on my way home inbetween periods but ended up missing just that goal. Saw the highlights and it was awesome! He is a talented player, I can't wait for his game to progress. As to saying it was "Bobby Orrish" I would say somewhat, even the VS. announcers made that comment. LETS GO WINGS!

There might not have been tons and tons of wide open hockey, but that doesn't make it takes away from scoring chances, sure there might not be AS MANY, but you can still generate them. Yes Staal hit the post and Crosby missed his chance, but I mean still to make it sound as if we aren't playing any better then them is not true what so ever. And to BlueMonk- You're right about sticking up for your team, but I mean like I said to Yzerfan1999, to make it sound as if we aren't playing better then them at all is rediculous, I mean making up excuses for your own team is one thing, but don't go on saying stuff like that, especially if you are the NHL fanboy and are " The God Of Hockey" , he is supposed to be hockey smart, and anyone can clearly say Detroit is playing better, and has had a dozen more chances at least the Pittsburgh.

Agreed.

You know what, Osgood is truely a good guy. Hes not an egotisticle (spelling =X ) money hungry goalie like a lot of goalies and players are today. Hes a true team leader and a great guy. Lets bring the cup back home to Hockey Town and let Osgood raise the Cons Mythe above his sholders!

I am so pumped for this game!!! Its nice to see the Wings back in the Stanley Cup Finals!!! Its been 6 years, and it feels great! Its going to be an exciting, fast paced game!! LETS GO WINGS!!!
-
This did seem like a good idea, and I have always loved the team introductions. It brings a sense of excitement and hype for your team. It really pumps people up, and the players as well. For example, the Detroit Pistons previous announcer, who left for Clevland, I can't remember his name though. The fans would go absolutely nuts at the palace. I think they should bring it back, and its a good point you brought up with league identity. I would love to see this, but highly doubt its going to hapen anytime soon.

DET/PIT: 4-1 Everyone has Detroit winning the cup so far! Lets Go Wings!!
-
I would tend to agree with you on that statement. Like the majority of people who responded, its Osgood all the way. The past two losses weren't his fault at all, and he has played outstanding for the most part of the playoffs. There will be no chance in hell a goalie change is made for game 7. Plus, lets worry about game 6 first, then we can go from there. Just my two cents...

hahaha As a fact I do remember that!

Oh I don't know... its BAD lol, I have blonde hair too so it doesn't even show up really, which totally sucks, becasue I want to participate. On the other hand, its like my legs are a frickin forest! lol, okay okay enough ranting. Just getting out my fustrations! I do have to shave every few days, but it doesn't grow in thick and its not super noticeable it sucks. However, I never really gave it a chance to keep growing...

GO WINGS!!!! Can't wait for the game! Wings will play tough and competitive after getting cheated out of that goal Thursday night! Wings-4 Goals: (Datsyuk, Zetterberg [2], Lidstrom) Stars-1 Goals: Who the hell cares, there going to be eliminated! Bring on the STANLEY CUP FINALS, and BRING STANLEY BACK TO HOCKEYTOWN!!
-
I wish I could grow a fu*king beard. I am still on the younger side, only 19, however it really irritates me that it doesn't grow in thick whatsoever. I need some miracle grow for facial hair

Good post, I guess I should of done my research before I spoke, err..typed. Well, I still would like to back my original concept of building a new arena might help attendance, but then again, THIS IS HOCKEYTOWN, WHERE THE REDWINGS PLAY, where there are hardcore fans, and if there not selling out it must because of economy and people just can't afford to go games like they used to. Also note, a lot of seats are bought by corparations which then give away there tickets to there employers, who never end up showing. So all in all there are different factors in which why the joe doesn't always sell out or why it appers empty. Its kind of sad actually. So if there was a new arena to be built, with a proper size ,fair paying parking lot, and concessions that weren't rediculously over priced, I would say it could/should do just fine.

I look at this way... Look at the Detroit Lions, they played at the Silver Dome, then now they currently play at Ford Field. They still tend to produce crappy season after crappy season. When the arena was built there was so much hype, I think its the newness of it all, and the sports bars, new concessions etc. that are avaible which attract fans. They still produce a good audiance game after game even if they always loose. So, if you look at the wings perspective, they usually are on top, I think it could boost the attendance but wouldn't solve the problem completey. It would sure attract more people, but the queston is how long would it last?

Well even if the wings did pass up on players as you state, they still are one of the best teams, and have amazing draft scouts. If this wasn't true, they wouldn't be atop the league year after year. Sure they pass up on players here and there, thats natural and it happens with every team. Ex. in the NBA the pistons could of selected all-star Carmelo Anthony, and instead passed him up to select a dud, Darko Millicic. Anyways, with that being said it happens to the best of us, but it still takes drafting talent to pick these late 5th, 6th, 7th round players out of the bunch and turn them into something. I give tons of credit to the Detroit Red Wings organization.

I actually like Marty Turco, and think he is a good goalie. I wouldn't go as far as making the statement that I hate him after that comment. He is just siding for his team, which no matter right or wrong most people tend to do, side with there team, or "family" so to speak. As far as agreeing or dissagreeing with the call, I think that call was complete bullsh*t. That goal should of 100% totally counted. Biased or not towards Detroit, every hockey fan should agree. Hell, if Barry F*cking Melrose agrees, then we all know it should of counted. As far as the people saying Mike Modano is whiny, I disrepect that. He is a class act and one of the best to play the game, I have much respect for him, hes one of my favorite players.
