ahhaa Islanders are known for that aren' they. Well there GM Well another one bites the dust. Didn't really want Comrie in Detroit, but its sad to see that days go by and Holland has pulled the trigger on a signing or a trade.
-
Well that sure would be nice! But who knows since the source is Eklund
-
Shanny is a double ended sword. When it comes to putitng up numbers, sure he played with Nylander and Jagr, well we have good players he can play with on this team. If he Played with Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Hudler, any of the young guns. I guess he did slow down in the stretch run though. He was hott in the playoffs though as well. He might be slow, but he has some size and we need that desperatly. The wings have no size like they used to. McCarty, Shanahan, Konstintinov, Fetisov, Bertuzzi for a little bit, Probert, they used to always have the big body fighting type, now were all small agile players.
-
Shanny may be getting old, but looked what kind of numbers he put up last season in New York. I think he stll has some gas in him, and still fights once and a while. Hes got size, and we could use him over some of the other players on that list. However, I am with you on how I can't believe that the wings have so much cap space left. They usually always max that bad boy out. I am really curious to see what Hollands plans are. Is he waiting to the last minute to get someone cheap, or does he plan on trading? I want to see a big name be wecomed to Detroit!
-
Yeah I thought so too, I was confused with that. I guess they didn't sign him yet though, which is odd.
-
I would like Hasek [obviously] and I would like to see Shanahan back in Detroit, from that list. Sopel maybe, him or Markov. If Peca or O'neil could get a spark of there old self going, I wouldn't mind seeing either of them on the wings as well.
-
wow.
-
lol haha thats funny
-
You're lucky I know who you are and that I can't mess with you or you would power bomb me.
-
Yeah I guess we can throw some cash at him. Just not anything to ridiculous. We need to save some money to use later on at the trade deadline. But if we can't sign him for that cheap, maybe throw some incentives in or ad another million in at tops (3.5m) I wouldn't pay him more then that, he doesn't deserve it. I hear ya man. I am the same way, I mean if we were fans of the Panthers or something I could understand, but were the wings, what happend to the rumors that linked us to signing everyone Those were the days.
-
That is true, and when you look at it from that perspective, its the smart thing to do. If Detorit could land Hossa, Heatly, someone of that caliber, damn watch out NHL. That would be really good for Detroit. So now that you say a one year contract, I agree. Just sign Guerin ( perferibly) to like a one year contract for 2.5 million.
-
I hope we sign one of them I mean come on we have 9million and we havent went after really anyone. LAME. I know we need Hasek, but we certainly aren't spending that much money on his greedy ass. I would like to see Guerin on the Wings, I think he would help us out, I know hes not a huge guy, but he was a 30+ goal scorer last year with the Blues/Sharks.
-
Yeah theres been a few rumors that Ottawa and Toronto have offered him some contracts. I'd like to have him on Detroit, I know hes getting somewhat old, but damn hes still decent for his age, and scored 30+ goals this past season with the Blues/Sharks.
-
I would: SIgn Yashin Trade for Fedorov Sign Belfour Sign Lang Sign Forseberg cant have enough centers. and yell F*** the cap to Bettman. then on continuing on my rampage I would would Sign Schneider, Souray, and who ever else I can get my filthy hands on. oh yeah cant for get KOZZZZZZZZIIIE lol, acutally I would never sign any of these players but a select few
-
Yes she is a female, no worries for you haha, I would of been creeped out though if another male called me that as well. But your fine, shes a woman.
-
I knoww! Seriously. Its starting to piss me off too. We need to sign someone, Days are going by and less and less players are avaible. I don't want to to sign some piece of trash.
-
Good post. he is my favorite all time goalie as well. I have respect for him, and it would be sweet to see him put on a redwings jersey, however he should stay in NJ. If I had to pick a team that the Devils would trade him too I would have to pick Tampa Bay or Boston, but I don't see it happening.
-
Good signing for the Devils, looks like he replaced Rafalski
-
I don't think that is true, I think Brodeur will play a few more seasons, most likely 2-3. And I think he will remain a New Jersey Devil as long as he plays, hes been a huge part of that teams success and I don't see him playing for any other time but them, he will retire there.
-
Nolan has been complete garbage since he was on the cover of NHL 2001, which was about the last time he was pretty solid. Now hes just a mess, good luck on the flames buddy.
-
lmao but anyhow, don't worry wings are alright, Rafalski is a better younger faster Matt Schneider. Lang, no loss there, Calder, no loss there. Bertuzzi, well it would of been nice to keep him, but we can sign somoene else, not anyone that can match his size however.
-
I know there was a thread he signed with the Oilers, but its official, hes now a Capital http://capitals.nhl.com/team/app/?service=...rticleid=326993 Capitals are actually signing some players this offseason, they might actually be okay
-
Yeah I would have to agree, but was scared to say it. Kolzig may be getting up in age, but he doesn't have the nickname Godzilla for nothing. He can play pretty damn solid, especialy like you mentioned, giving them a better defensive core.
