    10 Years Later: 03/26/97: Wings 6, Avs 5 (OT)

NICE! I might have to pick a copy of that up, or ask for it as a birthday gift! Question to everyone that looks at this thread. Was anyone actually at that game? Or were we all just glued to the TV watching? I would of LOVED to have been there for that game, it would of been simply amazing to see.

    The Sedin Twins

dang I missed the shootout, I just opened SopCast in hope to catch the shoot out, and I just missed it I love watching shootouts! on a side note the Av's have been rolling on all cyillanders lately. I am optimistic on wether I would prefer Calgary or Colorado to clinch the 8th spot though

    The Sedin Twins

Ha yeah that commerical isn't bad actually. There jsut players I can't grow to like. Since I can remember a good friend of mine and I just always have not liked them. But hey everyone has players they don't care for

    The Sedin Twins

As good as the Sedin twins are , I can't stand them, I don't really have a reason, I just in general don't like them. I will admit there working wonders in Vancouver lately though. and there just so damn ugly!

    Bertuzzi will be the answer

I notice he called him Huddles as well, I got a good laugh out of that. As far as calling him Happy Hudler, I don't know why he kept calling him that. Calling him "Happy Hudler" put me under the impression that he was like stoned or something, we all know he wasn't but you know...

    Join the Red Wave

Hockeycrazyy was saying that the Nashville slogan was the best of what we heard so far. I was agreeing. I don't mean that Join the red wave is the best, I mean't Nashvilles was the best of the bunch this year. Sorry if that was unclear.

    Bertuzzi will be the answer

Well at least you didn't miss anything special, we um, lost, lost, and oh yeah we lost. So maybe you can bring some luck home and the wings will win. That and Bertuzzi could score his first goal as wing, that would be nice!

    Bertuzzi will be the answer

Oh do I hope you are right. He needs to produce! I thinnk he can, and will do it. Supposedly Lang is the "playoff" kind of guy, so lets see how much magic hes going to work

    Bertuzzi's 4 minute double minor

That is true, I seen the bag of peanuts I think it was spilled all over the ice.
  15. Hockey13Playa

    Bertuzzi will be the answer

Agreed. Bert's been playing exceptionally well IMO for had been out for such a long time. I think everyone realizes that too, watching the past game especially, you could hear the crowd always getting excited or chanting when he had the puck, or crashed the net, etc.

    Playoff traditions

Hah me too, well these past few years of playoff series, seeing how they all ended up. I dont really have any traditions, but my mother always seems to express her feelings before the game if she thinks the wings will win or loose, and thats like a little curse that I think stuck with the wings and gave them bad luck. I go crazzzyyy when she says I have a feeling. I don't even like to hear if its good or bad
  17. Hockey13Playa

    Bertuzzi will be the answer

I think the wings should do just fine, it they play like we all know they can. Thats just the problem, the way they are playing now, isn't what they are capable of doing. Come playoff time Bertuzzi as well as the wings should hopefully have their chemistry back. With that being said, they should make a decent if a run at the cup. If not, then expect them to be playing many rounds of golf.

Who do you think needs to go?

What makes you assume Hasek is going to retire after this season? I haven't heard antyhing, or seen any indications that might hang up the skates.
  19. Hockey13Playa

How far the Wings are going to go in the playoffs?

I take the same aprroach as you. Don't show fear, and don't say who you want to play. Just play, win, and bring Stanley home!
  20. Hockey13Playa

    Play-off pool picks?

Good job, thats who I first suggested when this topic was started. Hes always been a producer.
  21. Hockey13Playa

Who do you think needs to go?

No Bertuzzi? Are you assuming we just let him go sign somewhere else after this season or whats going on with that?
  22. Hockey13Playa

Who do you think needs to go?

I agree with you on everything you have said, expect Griorenko. I am 50-50 on him and currently stand netural. But let Maltby go, and Lang can go. Keep Hasek , so what if hes old, hes playing pretty solid in net for the most part of the season.
  23. Hockey13Playa

    Join the Red Wave

Yeah I would have to agree with you, its probably the best of what we heard so far. They all seem pretty lame in my opinion though, do these people have any brains who come up with these slogans?
  24. Hockey13Playa

    Edmonton isn't helping us

    Agreed.

    Bertuzzi's 4 minute double minor

Well from watching it at home, they replayed it over and over, and on several of the replays, the angles they showed, the puck was clearly in the net. I guess thats just Detroit luck, we never get a break these dayss.
