I should've prefaced with assuming all goes according to form. Well that's most likely not going to happen now. Even so, whoever the Wings play next will be tough and as long as they don't let up on the gas pedal they'll be fine.

He's a true winner and survivor, a goalie few of us thought would help win the Cup for us this year. His place in Red Wing glory is secure now.

'97 still ranks as the best for me with it being a first experience. The others: '08 a close second '98 '02 I think this year's was the most hard-earned. Looking back, the Flyers and Capitals offered little resistance, the Hurricanes were tough for a game or two, but the Penguins were very tough throughout the series. And this is a very different team and a different NHL after the lockout a few years ago, which makes it all the more remarkable.

These kind of games are too much for me to take at this stage of my life...We need to end this real soon.

Another Cup is within reach again. This team is destined for it. You can't say enough about this organization. Year after year they continue to be among the best in the NHL. Some years (and certainly after the '06 first round loss) I thought they were going to slip a little, but it doesn't matter who the coach is, or the captain, or the goalie, they still end up with the best record. Exciting times again, and like Lidstrom says it never gets old!

It was one of those games where you just didn't have a good feeling throughout the game. Unfortunately we've seen this many times before. Can't come out like this tomorrow night or we'll be down 4 goals early. Need to set the tone right from the start.
