Mursak should be in over Emmerton every single game. Maybe they are just giving Emmerton a long look to see what he has to offer. It's not a whole lot. Mursak is quicker, more physical, and has better hands and a better shot. Basically, everything is an improvement on Cory. I am a bit shocked he hasn't been in every night, especially after his impressive 2 games, and it's had me shocked and angry. Surely though Mursak will soon get an extended oppertunity to prove himself and unlike Emmerton, he will take it with both hands. Ummm, yes, he is.

This guy is having an insane season. Scored the lone goal in a 1-0 win today. 24 goals, 27 assists for a total of 51 points in 35 games. Last season he had 56 points in 60 games. Huge improvement in his PPG. So exciting this kid.

Great post, spot on. So what did everyone make of his return tonight? I know I'm a huge fan, and biased, but I thought he looked great. He had that great chance early but it was blocked, he very nearly had a 2-on-1 with Helm, and all night he was skating hard and getting into dangerous positions. 10:34 TOI, 3 SOG, 1 block. I love his agility, his ability to stop and start on his skates along the boards, it throws defencemen off and gives him time and space. The third line forced Pheonix to ice the puck 3 times tonight, and they had a fantastic shift in the 3rd period just before Franzen tied it up.

Far out he's insane this year. He's such an effortless skater, creates so many chances because of his stride and vision.
