Thanks mate. I'm so excited about Mursak, I've already put last season behind me and most importantly, it seems like he has too. He's got all the attributes and encouragingly, he seems to be rounding out all aspects of his game so perhaps if his scoring doesn't come around maybe he could contribute on a 3rd/4th line. Heads up for everyone, Grand Rapids host Houston again tonight.

Staggering to me that they haven't sent Abdelkader down to Grand Rapids yet. Can someone explain to me the point in having him scratched for every 3rd game and when he does play he plays 8-9 minutes? Surely he'd be better off in Grand Rapids? Anyway good luck to the boys tonight, hopefully they started to turn things around with all that offence in the 3rd against Vancouver.

Actually, I really like this idea. I know it's sad but I only realised Helm wasn't playing tonight about 10 minutes into the 3rd period. He's been pretty invisible to start the season and I'm sure the injury he suffered in camp has had something to do with that. As you said he can still be sent to GR without having to clear waivers and although he might not like it, it might be beneficial to him. I think Abdelkader needs to be sent down also, have him see top line minutes in Grand Rapids and play in all situations down there. I've been waiting years for Kindl to make his Red Wings debut, I can't wait until it finally happens. I guess they could play Meech as a forward, but given we're scratching two forwards a night as it is probably not the greatest idea.

I'm just putting this out there, Bertuzzi is quickly becoming one of my favourite players. And I think Abdelkader would be better served getting more ice-time in Grand Rapids and being their go-to guy.
