STOP FREAKING GOING OFF SIDE.
-
We're playing absolutely horrendous, just amazingly bad. Worst game of the season. One of the most pathetic PP's I've seen leads to a Pittsburgh goal from ANOTHER Stuart turnover. We're done folks. Pittsburgh want it more.
-
Lebda, has there ever been a man with less offensive ability? The guy wouldn't know how to get the puck to the goalie if his life depended on it. And I hate to say this, but Lidstrom looks so slow. The injury is really affecting him.
-
Good to get out of that period without trailing, not a good sign.
-
Man, what a chance for Flip.

Know very little of Cameron, but to be honest I'm a little disappointed we let go of Torquato. I've been a fan since day 1 but in saying that in the two or three seasons since he's been drafted by the Wings he's been disappointing in the OHL. He hasn't lived up to expectations, and even though he's been on a bad side he needed to do a bit more. Last season the Erie Otters had a reasonably successful season and he still failed to produce the goods. I suspect he'll find himself with another NHL contract at some point though, especially if he has a good season in 09/10. Not sure if he'll ever be good enough to make it though.

Hossa, for the last time in a Red Wings jersey, DO SOMETHING. Please win Detroit, don't ruin my coming days and weeks. I want Back-to-Back.
-
I'd much rather him out there than Ericsson.
-
How is he still performing? Who cares if he's trying to make things happen if they're not happening? So trying to do too much is a legitimate excuse? He's not a rookie. I care if he's streaky if he can't perform when it matters most. Hasn't scored a goal in 7 games.

Well the draws are out and there are certainly some interesting first round matches. Gonzalez v Hewitt should be an absolute belter and it’s a shame it’s a first round match considering both are finalists in Melbourne. You would give the edge to Gonzo however Hewitt is in decent form and always seems to perform at his home slam. Kiefer v Canas should also be good entertaining and quite a lengthy match. Looking at the seeds… Federer on paper appears to have a reasonably tough draw. First up he faces Seppi, then in the 3rd round he should face Safin. His Swiss teammate Wawrinka awaits in the 4th round and the red hot Juan Martin Del Potro looms in the Quarters. Nadal has a bit of a cakewalk until the Quarters Finals. Assuming Gonzalez wins they’ll meet in the 4th round which could be tough for Nadal. Monfils/Simon could be his Quarter final opponents but I see him lasting until Murray in the SF. As for the women, interesting first round match of Hantuchova and Dellacqua. They both had great success here last year so one will take a plummet in the rankings. Azarenka is in great form having won her first title in Brisbane and she’ll face another in form opponent in Petra Kvitova. Jelena Dokic has a very winnable first up encounter with Tamira Paszek. Paszek has lost her way after making a charge up the rankings a year or two back. Wozniacki v Peer is another beauty of a first round match. Venus Williams appears to have one of the easiest draws imaginable and will make the Semi’s if she’s playing at a decent level. Ivanovic will face Wozniacki in the 4th round and if she progresses will face Safina in the Quarters. That’s as far as she can hope to go here given her form. Once again Jankovic has an easy draw and should make the Semis.

He'll be back. Had a good regular season, showed improvement from 2007/08 and the Wings like him as a 3rd/4th liner.
-
Oops my bad, given Osgood had a shutout I'd say we probably scored first.
-
That's what I did with the French Open and Federer winning, except I didn't even watch and I didn't get drunk. I know he won but I don't even know the score such has been my avoidance. If Pens win the TV will go off in record time. I'll be too shattered to watch for a second longer.

I agree 100% with this thread. Can you believe that Game 1 is the only game where we've score the first goal? Not good enough, needs to change tomorrow. We can't afford another sluggish start because this time it'll kill us.
-
I am a sore loser, a very sore loser. Lets just leave it at that.
-
I'm afraid only one man can make it stop, and it's not Matt.
-
this is why you re-sign in the off season

I agree Franzen has been underwhelming this series but seriously, is everyone going to have a hate thread by the time Game 7 rolls around? -
I find it hard to believe these Detroit Red Wings could go from being up 2-0 to then losing 4 from 5. Surely it couldn't happen...
-
I hate people using the injury line as an excuse as to why he's playing so bad. I'm willing to bet plenty of guys are banged up, some more than he is, and they still show one thing Hossa isn't. A bit of heart.
-
The guy had a few perfect oppertunities to level a few opponents and instead he did nothing. Playing like someone half his size. Really disappointed in his play.
-
Meanwhile Ericsson continues to be the worst player on the ice...
-
Scratch Hossa for Game 7, oh how I'd love to see it happen. It's what he deserves. Imagine seeing the team win the Cup while he's in the stands. I'd rather Abdelkader. I'd rather Robert LANG!
-
Nice effort through 45 minutes guys, great intensity.
-
This is shocking. Please don't pull Osgood, any chance goes with him to the bench. Edit: NOOOO!
-
Awful PP, what a waste of 2 minutes. Did we even get a SOG? Is Datsyuk blind? Surely the only thing happening to that last shot was it going straight into the Pens player?
