The Moose have a six point advantage over the Griffins with one game in hand. The Griffins finally snapped their 5 game winless streak with a SO victory over the struggling Rochester Americans. Jimmy Howard was big in the win stopping 37 of 38 shots to get the much deserved and needed victory, for his and the teams sake. Despite getting the most recent start and the Griffins fondness of rotating goalies, Jimmy Howard will probably get the start again. At times you forget Justin Abdelkader is still a rookie as he continues to put up the points and play with such confidence. He has 11 points from the past 8 games and is currently 3rd in rookie scoring. Mattias Ritola sat out the last game due to a back complaint and defenceman Tom Galvin missed with soreness. Recap I love this guy.

Yeh Galvin’s in a bad way. It was stated a few days back that he missed a game due to ‘soreness’ and that’s obviously putting it mildly. To no identify what the actual injury and just classify it as soreness means he’s banged up in a few places. The Griffins sure do have a lot of injured bodies at the moment and to take 4 points from the 3 games in 3 day grind was a great effort. And Ritola was awarded the 1st star with his two assists. If that's an injured and not 100% healthy Ritola, he's one fine prospect! And great to hear about Kindl being polite, he's my favourite prospect so that pleases me. And lastly, Jan Mursak has been picking up his play, at least according to the scoresheet. And Pyett has been picking up the points this month too.

Any idea why Kindl was absent?

Downey with 2 assists, scoring machine! Pyett with the GWG, he's really developing nicely. Ritola once again producing with a pair of assists straight back into the line-up. Where was Kindl? Abdelkader is dominating too, and Haydar is scoring like a mad man. The depth of the team came to the fore today.

Phew! Griffins get it done, in the SO no less. Hopefully that gets them going. Jimmy Howard with 37 saves and yet no star selection, strange. Pare with the Griffins only goal, Abdelkader with another point. Stafford scored the lone goal in the SO.

He's been absolutely brilliant in the OHL this season, for two teams. Still got huge hopes for this guy!

I can't believe how badly this team sucks. Fire Curry. Hurry up and trade Iverson, I don't think I can even wait till the end of the season he's that bad. Release Wallace. We have almost no young talent. We're going to be a bad team for a long, long time. I hope we miss the playoffs and get a good draft pick. Missing the playoffs might be a wake up call to make changes and finally get some youth on board.

Listen BUD, I never said he was having explosion like development. How was I picking and choosing my stats when I pointed out the FACTS? He's got 23 assists, 6 more than last year in 19 less games. Cold hard facts bud. It means his goal scoring way down but assists way up. Simple.
