I think it's obvious, Budaj for the SHUTOUT. Easy. -
Superb job! Much appreciated! We're currently 1st in the Division (and Conference)! Manitoba are 2-2 with 3 minutes remaining in the 3rd though, so it looks as though they'll get at least 1 point.

He has. Franzen-Hank-Cleary Huds-Flip-Sammy I can't work Babs out sometimes... -
Looks as though the Wings affiliate are the ones that have come to play tonight. Wake up Detroit! Great win for the Griffins. Thrilled for Larsson who records 2 consecutive shutouts and has got a real nice shutout streak happening. Kindl with an assist so after going pointless last night he's right back on the scoresheet. The story of the night is Larsson though, wow.

First of all thanks sjradio. And secondly, how good is Larsson? Haydar with a 2 point night, hopefully he can start to hit some form.

Darren Pfeiffer= gun. I'm the biggest Aussie Rules fan going around. Just got my AAMI Stadium membership. Carn the Crows!

Thanks, great recap. A few things. Really pleased to hear about Ericsson’s improved effort and intensity. I am hoping that a prolonged absence from the game will make him realise just how much he loves the game and that he shouldn’t be taking it for granted. He’s a leader of the team, probably the #1 defenceman so hopefully he knows how much the team needs him. Disappointed to hear about Ritola, especially disappointed when he was carrying such great form coming into the game and given the great reports about his attitude and work ethic. To take a shift off which handed momentum to the opposition is a real shame. Hopefully he’ll rebound tonight; in fact I’m sure he will. He responded extremely well to his benching a week or two back so I’m looking for him to have a strong outing tonight And Kindl, he's just getting glowing reports from all. Real encouraging.

Peoria Rivermen (18-12-1-0) @ Grand Rapids Griffins (17-7-3-3) @ The Peoria Rivermen are in town to take on the surging Grand Rapids Griffins who have won their past 4 games and are two points away from joining Manitoba on top of the North Division. The Griffins haven't allowed a goal from their past two matches with both Howard and Larsson posting shutouts. Ville Leino is finally back on track having registered 2 goals in his last outing and having 5 points in as many games. Mattias Ritola has 6 points in 5 games and Kindl is on a 4 game point streak and is enjoying an extremely productive month. In their last outing, the Griffins played with only five noted defensemen as Ericsson, Stafford and P.J. Atherton all sat out with injuries. As a result forward Ryan Oulahen filled in on the blueline. Rookie Justin Abdelkader has sat out two games with an injury but is expected to return. Possible line-up: Oulahen - Helm - Downey Leino - Abdelkader - Tardif Ritola - Emmerton - Haydar Lemieux - McGrath - Pare Galvin - Kindl Kolosov - Pyett Stafford - Peterson Larsson Howard Team Leaders: Goals: Haydar (11), Ritola, Abdelkader, Helm (10) Assists: Leino (18), Kindl (15) Points: Leino (25), Helm (24) Penalty Minutes: Downey (54), Abdelkader (49) Notes: • Evan McGrath is currently on a 5 game point streak. • Jakub Kindl has 9 points in 8 games and 4th in defenceman scoring. Not that I'm putting the loss on him or anything, but man, shocking game from Zetterberg.
-
YES! PP! C'mon lads, lets get this one tied up!
-
Flip's first shot of the game, finally. He really needs to shoot more.
-
Is anyone else going nuts due to the stupid whistling every time Tootoo is on the ice? My goodness how annoying.
-
Why's that? Because he doesn't do anything out there? The whole 4th line is useless.
-
Draper to score the next two, then get the empty net for the natural hattrick.
-
Filppula and Zetterberg to score in the 3rd, we go to OT and the Wings win.
-
Darn. What is it with this team and OT? Ah well, at least we got a point. Howard's stats aren't flash, Larsson will start tomorrow against Lake Erie and these days I've got more confidence in him.
-
I've got a bad feeling about this. I'd be happy just to get to OT and take a point. We don't have the best OT/SO record so far this season.
-
I was going to make a thread on this. You can't honestly tell me Chelios couldn't have just signed as an assistant coach. His role these days is more mentor than player.
-
I'm not even sure that's possible anymore. He just cannot score!
-
Officially changed. Well Jakub, get to work in the 3rd!
-
I notice that on our PP goals we've had one defenceman out with 4 forwards, an interesting move. McGrath is on fire! Kindl's point streak continues too.
-
McGrath is a real good player, his last 40 or so games from the end of last season to now and have been terrific. 6 straight games with a point and 13 points in 14 games. Does he have an NHL future? Doubt it'll be with Detroit but I think he could get a go elsewhere.
-
Great news. And Abdelkader back too. I was wondering who was in net. Not a great start by Jimmy.
