Agreed. Kid is doing a marvelous job in Grand Rapids and after starting the season as a healthy scratch he now seems to be a permanent fixture in the team and is putting up the points including scoring the GWG last night.

I'm sure everyone (Hossa, Holland, the team) knows that Hossa is just here for this season. It's just impossible to get him re-signed without seriously putting some massive holes in the team. As sad as it will be to see him go, we've got to accept he's just a season long rental which virtually cost us nothing.

This came as a surprise to me. He wasn’t exactly dominating in the ECHL so why call him up? It’s not as though we have a shortage of defenceman in Grand Rapids; we’re scratching 1 or 2 defenders every night as it is.
