That's because FinRedWing isn't here to get you drunk! And Meech is impressive, please stop scratching him.

Filppula's having a real strong game. And that reminds me, where is FinRedWing?

This GDT is too quiet for my liking... Markus Naslund is a shadow of his former self.

FRANZEN! And look what happens when you shoot Flip! Good things happen!

Well done Meech, nice start to the season. I like him, think he's a more complete version of Lebda. And great to see a few more couple of firsts; Sammy with his first goal of the season and Flip with his first assist.

Well done to the Griffins on getting the win, especially when you considering they got down 3-1 early in the 3rd. Abdelkader goal and an assist, 3 points in 2 games. Ritola also off to a fast start and my man Kindl now with 2 points in 2 games.

    Avery

It's hilarious. Every time he plays for a team their fans love him. And when he changes club you look at their board and they suddenly hate him and snipe him. And yet they always talk about him even after he's gone, so you know they miss him and would love him back. Personally I'm disappointed he wasn't here longer. He is a pretty handy offensive player and is never afraid to drop the gloves.

    New Jersey Devils

Sorry to start a thread about another team but in all honesty when was the last time this team was actually the least bit exciting to watch? They won 1-0 against Atlanta tonight and they must surely be the dullest team to watch in the league. Through 4 games they’ve scored 6 goals, and conceded 6. It just seems year after year they’re always the lowest scoring team in the league and half their games finish 2-1 or 1-0. I feel sorry for their fans having to sit through such dire games on a consistent basis. And as a player surely playing in such a defensive minded team, especially for young players, wouldn’t be ideal.

To those that have pointed out low scoring doesn't mean bad game, I agree. But it's more the way the Devils play. Their games are low scoring because they play such a defensive style of hockey. Thanks for posting that edicius. $339 for 4 people to attend a regular season game? Wow, that's staggering.

Thanks for that marvellous bit of insight. But when all they do is play defensive hocky and three quarters of their games have 3 or less goals scored it gets a bit tiresome.

The one and only Kiira Korpi. Amazing. I'm really disappointed with the Wings tonight, very disappointed in fact. After such a great second period I thought we had turned the corner and would be on our way. Instead we come out flat in the third and give up the OT winner after half a minute. Defence having far too many lapses, offence not clicking with poor passing and too many shots being given up. And it's a travesty that Darren Helm only played 7 minutes when he was one of the few players who had energy. And lastly, Marian Hossa was absolutely atrocious. Worst player on the ice for mine, mainly for complete lack of effort.

What happened to deserving the ice-time you get? Hossa doesn't deserve continued PP time.

Terrible pass Hudler. And Tomas Fleischmann going about his business, 3 points in 4 games. Thanks Robert Lang, still causing us grief.

Are you telling me Ericsson isn't better than Lebda? What does he seriously contribute to this team? And as for Hossa, yeah whatever...

The effort level from Hossa just isn't up to scratch IMO.

Absolute dominant period by the Wings. Intensity lifted, we won the battles to the puck, we played physical and the passing was actually starting to connect. Kronwall was excellent on that last PP, held the puck in twice when it could’ve easily gone out. Hudler actually received a little ice-time and looked sharp. Seems the second line is Hudler-Franzen-Filppula with Franzen taking faceoffs because Flip’s been disastrous in that area tonight. They created some quality scoring chances in that period and I hope Babs goes back to that same combination for the third. Fourth line was terrific, mainly thanks to Helm. I’m telling you, they won’t be able to send him down to Grand Rapids after tonight, he is just too good. How good was that shift in the latter stages of the period? He and Kopecky were hustling like crazy! Kopecky gets a lot of criticm on this board and a lot of it is unwarranted. He plays big, he can make an excellent pass and he ALWAYS plays with energy. Adding Helm to his line spells trouble for the opposition. I’d love to see a Helm-Abdelkader-Kopecky line in the near future. The less said about Samuelsson the better. Stuart has been invisible. Datsyuk and Hossa aren’t quite clicking but Datsyuk has been outstanding tonight with 2 assists including a lovely breakaway pass to set up Clearly. Much better signs that period.

Wings are looking so much better in the second. Intensity has improved 100%. Samuelsson...is his shot ever not blocked?
