Wow! Wanted Saunders gone but for some reasson I never thought it would actually happen. Sad thing is, I think Flip really improved this year. He realised he had to play the bench more and he did that; Stuckey and Maxiell saw major minutes in the playoffs. Flip Murray was dumped mid season which allowed the youngsters more time. However judging by some of the comments made by Dumars it seems as though things weren't exactly going smoothly behind the scenes. Michael Curry looms as the probably replacement; not sure what to make of that. I remember at school my mates and I used to have a laugh about his stats, he would play 30 minutes and walk away with 4 points, 3 rebounds ect. But he was a role player and was excellent defensively. Dumars wouldn't make such a massive risk if he didn't feel he was ready and had the respect of the players. One down, one to go. Sheed that is.

Helm, Filppula and Hudler (yes he took the penalty...) were all great last night. Our three youngest players and all had very strong games. What makes me sad is that Huds played so strong, he had two quality scoring chances in OT but no one will care about that, his penalty is all that'll get talked about.

He was unbelievable last night, seriously, words can't describe how impressed I was. Wasn't he meant to be nervous? He was hitting everything that moved. He's our most physical forward and he's 21 and about 5'11. He is a machine! He hits, has tremendous speed, is dangerous offensively and I even noticed he played well defensively last night. Loved his takeaway in the third period I think it was. VERY impressed.

Whilst I don’t think the refs were as bad as some are making them out to be, surely you didn’t agree with the 2 goalie interference calls?

What does everyone think about winning the Cup away? Don't want to sound arrogant, genuinely asking. Would the crowd stay, do we do laps of the ice? Why couldn't we have won Game 5.

What about the first faceoff of the game? Took 3 attempts to finally drop it. Draper won, the crowd gave a huge roar, but I think the cheer was more due to the fact the puck had finally been dropped!

I'm just disappointed we sat back at the end of regulation. I know you go a little more defensive under the circumstances but we had all the momentum and the Pens were just hanging on. Then we decided to just dump the puck and wait for them to attack. In the end it proved costly because I believe had we kept on attacking we could have got a 2 goal lead which would've been enough. I am shattered.

I'm not going to lie, I thought Fleury was very, very good and basically stole them the game.

Twice now I've noticed the puck was dropped very poorly against Filppula; once in Game 4, and once today. Seriously I know I sound paranoid but it was dropped clearly in favour of the Penguins. Maybe I’m reading too much into it and it’s just a mistake but how hard can it be?

Look at the crowd after the Rafalski goal. Sheer delight. Winning the Cup away just isn't the same.

I feel so empty. At least you guys can sleep it off, it's only 3pm here. I got the whole day to think about the missed oppertunity.

I can see Game 6, however I'm 99.9% sure I won't be able to watch Game 7.

We've only got ourselves to blame. The first period was HORRIBLE and in the end, it cost us. You just can't afford to get off to such a slow start. But still, 35 FREAKING SECONDS.

1. PP was pathetic, absolutely pathetic. 2. Osgood was good, no question, but Fleury was better. He was incredible.

I've always said though a 4 minute PP is way less effective than a 2 minute PP. We can win it on this kill. I BELIEVE.

Matt you should be proud, LGW has held up remarkably well today. I'm still saying Lidstrom for the winner.
