Surely not? Quincey, Ericsson, Meech, Kindl, Smith, Pyett. We have so many young defenceman coming through the ranks, Lilja is expendable. The first two in particular are ready and re-signing Lilja would almost definitely spell the end of Quincey's time in Detroit which IMO would be a real shame.

He was awesome tonight. How good was that play where he raced down the ice to negate the icing call and then he sent a pass from his knees. Has been great all playoffs.

BTW was it just me or did they drop the puck completely towards Crosby when he was up against Filppula? I think it was the start of the 3rd period, at least later on in the game. I might be reading too much into it and they won't always get the drop perfect but man it was directed so much more towards Crosby.

For such a small guy he hits all the time. He just crashes opponents into the boards with no hesitation. He brings such intensity to the ice whenever he's out there. Rate him so highly and have been so impressed with his play in the playoffs.

Assuming Holmstrom returns for Game 5, who sits, Mac or Helm? Got to be Mac surely?

I loved that play, Hank taking on about 4 of them.

What are the stats? How much ice time has the second line got because to me it seems as though they're rarely out there. Franzen and Flip aren't seeing much time which is wrong because they have been great up until now. Why are Dats and Hank playing so much? Are they being double shifted? The only ones who deserve double shifting are Hudler and Sammy who have played with so much heart tonight. Helm is a warrior on the 4th line too, he is small but he absolutely gives it his all every time he steps onto the ice. As for the defence, what the heck is wrong with them tonight? Lids, Kronwall, Stuart and especially Rafalaski have all made mistakes, some very costly. Lilja and Lebda haven't done anything wrong in fact I am very impressed with Lebda. We're playing like rubbish, getting no quality scoring chances and not working hard enough. We're tied up thanks to Osgood who has been brilliant. But to win we must score and we don't look like scoring...

Another turnover, absolutely unbelievable. What the heck is wrong with this team today? Lucky not be down by a few goals.
