Franzen - Datsyuk - Mursak Filppula - Zetterberg - Nyquist Hudler - Helm - Abdelkader Cleary - Emmerton - Eaves

Agreed, unfortunately. Try, Tatar, Ericsson, 1st, and you'd still come up short.
-
Nice one Conks. And Helm has been horrific tonight.
-
I have never been so disappointed with Henrik Zetterberg. Without overreacting, he is honestly playing like a 4th line journeyman.
-
Cool decision Babs.
-
Ferraro shouldn't be written off. True, he'll never be a scorer in the NHL, but he could certainly still make it as a bottom 6 forward due to his incredible speed. He can really fly out there, and he's also not afraid of playing physical.
-
Go home boys, great effort though.
-
Oh you're playing Johan? Cool.

I'm so glad we signed Commodore to play 6:40. I know tonight was a special teams fest at times, but still. The guy is worthless. More often than not he’s a healthy scratch, but when he isn’t, he barely plays. I know they want Smith playing heavy minutes in Grand Rapids, but would he learn more practising alongside Lids and Kronwall ect or by playing 20 minutes a night in GR? Honestly, I'd rather be playing Smith and letting him learn and familiarise to the NHL now than wait another season. If we waived Commodore, would anyone claim him?

YOU ARE FREAKING KIDDING ME.
-
Kindl looks as good as I've ever seen.
-
Datsyuk looked like Datsyuk!
-
Dare I say it, Wings look excellent.
-
Very impressed with Kindl.
-
Yep, looks that way. Absolutely retarded. Abby was looking awesome.
-
Exciting times! Glad they sat Commodore and not Kindl. We've got two of our (hopefully) future mainstays on defence in Smith and Kindl.
-
Completely agree. We re-sign the guy for 3 years, and he's a healthy scratch every second game? Is that smart or what? As you said, he's got a good shot, he's physical, he's a good PK'er, he's got good speed. He's a perfect 3rd/4th line forward, and yet we're regularly sitting him. He'd been playing really well lately too, I just wonder how his mindset is after signing a long term deal (for his standards) and yet to be regularly sitting. Can't be good.
-
Out of all the people to sit, we sit Eaves, our best PK'er?
-
I approve, I think it's staggering he hasn't even been given a shot. I'd much rather he than Hudler.
-
Watching Parise play tonight...man alive, we need this guy. He is all heart, every shift.
-
2 assists for Jurco tonight. 29 points in 20 games.
-
Eaves was really good last night, he's definitely got his legs back. I love his energy, I love his willingness to shoot the puck, I'd love to see him switch with Cleary for the time being.
-
Fantastic post, I am glad there is still the occasional quality post written around here.

Look, AGAIN, it's not so much about Commodore, it’s about Commodore vs Smith, the current, the future, everything. I'd argue we'd be a lot better having Smith up permanently with this team learning off the best, rather than having a sto-gap otpion who barely plays. Wow, this forum really is retarded. Do people here actually have the ability to, you know, read?

I’m hardly pinning this loss on him. How many games has he played this season, 4, 5? Smith is NHL ready, or very close to it. I’m of the opinion that if you’ve got a guy who is CLEARLY a part of this team’s future, and he’s virtually ready to go, why waste time by having Commodore on the roster? Aren’t we just delaying the inevitable?
