Prett shattered to be honest. I really like Kopecky and this is a blow to the team. And the poor guy was having a great season too and starting to come on.

Ovechkin is a legend, I am hoping so badly they make the playoffs. Seeing Ovy lead his team in the post season would be awesome. Imagine his intensity then.

Is there any chance (is it even possible?) that Abdelkader could see time in the playoffs, especially given that it looks as though Kopecky will be unavailable?

One of my favourite players, I will be very disappointed if he's seriously injured.

I've been saying this for a while now. IMO Justin could make the Wings next season as he is very nearly ready.

I bet RyanBarnes! is happy. And so should everyone else be. We're getting a glimpse of the future tonight. Justin will be a good player.

This is unbelievable! Interesting to read that he is he's foregoing the rest of his eligibility at Michigan State but seeing as though the Wings are going to sign him anyway, it's not a big deal. As with all our prospects, I'm real excited to see this guy. And I hold Abdelkader in very high esteem, think he could be more than the grind line forward many have predicted.
