Great GDT! As we’re up against the might of Dallas, if Helm does play I wouldn’t expect him to play more than 4 or so minutes, similar to Filppula when he was first called up. But I'm looking forward to seeing him in action.

During a 28 game period this season, he had 25 points. And that was in about 14-15 mins per game. Top 6 forwards get about 17-18 mins per game, you give Hudler that amount of time next season and I have no doubt he'd put up 60 points.

I admit I would be very disappointed if we lose Quincey for nothing as he’s been in the system for a while now and over the years he’s developed into a solid defenseman. I think he’s got good potential and could play 20 minutes a night. I like Lebda and I’d be disappointed to see him leave too but he’s probably expendable with the development of Meech and the progress of draftee Logan Pyett. I think there's little doubt that Lilja won't be back next season and it's still 50/50 as to whether Stuart re-signs. As for Ericsson, the Wings rate him very highly and there's a good chance he'll be up full time next season.

Now a goal and 2 assists! 14 points in 17 games and he's on a 5 game point streak. Great prospect.

Thanks for that, very interesting read. I can’t believe they sent Marion packing. When I heard Phoenix traded for Shaq I thought they sent some depth players/draft picks, it never occurred to me that they would trade away Marion. Just an awful trade really.
