Nooo! First day of study today, finished early, rushed home to listen to the Wings game and I see it's finished! It was an early start I take it? Anyone care to give me a tiny recap of the game? I see Filppula scored a goal and an assist and we seriously got some secondary scoring! Maltby, Drake, wow!

I've been negative about the Pistons for a while now but as each day passes I think our chances increase. I'm really liking our bench and for once Flip Saunders is doing a half decent job of managing the minutes. He didn't play Amir Johnson vs the Jazz the other night which was disappointing but at least Saunders came out and said he made a mistake. Stuckey, Johnson, Maxiell, Hayes and now Dixon who put up 14 points on 6-7 shooting. And of course there's Hunter who will play 10 or so minutes a night come playoffs time.

You would HONESTLY rather have Downey on the team over Hudler?

No where else to put this really... 2 goals and an assist today for Cory. Was +2, scored the GWG and was awarded the 1st star. Hopefully this gets him going.

The guy is a great player but my word is he injury prone. Even worse than Kronwall, and that's saying something...

Thought I'd dig up this thread... With an assist tonight, McGrath has 7 points in 9 games. He only had 14 points in 56 games last year but he now has 20 pts in 57 games this season. A slight improvement, especially of late.

Thing is, I hear everyone saying he's a 20 goal guy but in his 2nd season as a 23 year old he is on track to net 20 goals. He's still quite a few years off his prime and yet he's almost at the mark many expect him to be for his career. I think people are underrating his offensive potential just a little.
