20 goals! That's a big ask. I guess the answer is an overwhelming yes, he's doing his job. I know where you'll all coving from but I guess without the loyalties as some others feel, there isn't a lot otherwise that keeps him in the line-up.

So sad. She had her chances, up 5-4 and Maria down 15-30, but she tried a drop shot. It hit the bottom of the net, and the momentum switched for the remainder of the set. The second set was tight but Ana was broken at 3-3 and from there Maria ran away with it. A missed chance but a much improved showing to her FO final. Oh my gosh, Novak Djokovic you are a dead set LEGEND! Although this has been a terrific tournament, finally some life has been breathed into the tennis world! Federer has been beaten at a Grand Slam. I would always say to my brother that Djokovic beat Federer last year but he’d always say that it’s only 3 sets and no one can beat him over 5 sets. Well I can’t believe what’s just happened; Federer got beaten in STRAIGHT SETS, by 20 year old Novak Djokovic. This young man could be absolutely amazing, not that he isn’t already! He actually had tactics against him, and he didn’t choke unlike so many others on tour (cough, Berdych, cough). He kept hitting it to Federer’s backhand time and time again and failed to give him an inch on that side. It worked extremely well. You wouldn't belief how much relieft I have right now! Now for tomorrow's womens final, hopefully my heart can take it. Cmon Ana!

Yeh I about to start a new thread last night, went to check the games and realised there were none, other than the All-Star game of course. A weekend off for me!

That is absolutely insane, I can't believe it. How the heck does anyone put up 7 points in a single game???

There went any hope of Federer losing this Slam. Shame, I really, REALLY wanted to see Nadal play Federer because I’m always confident of Rafa winning when the two meet. I don't like Tsonga so my only hope is Djokovic. If he loses, I don't know if I'll even watch the final. Maybe the first set, but if it's looking like a win to Federer I'll swtich it off.

* Nick Lidstrom is +40 for the season. +40! That's insane. What do people think he'll end up at? +60 isn't out of the question, and what's been the best +/- ratio over the past 5 or so years? * Valtteri Filppula is +20, tied (with Zetterberg) for 6th in the entire NHL. Impressive. * Pavel Datsyuk has 6 PIM's for the entire season. 3 minor penalties in 51 games, that's ridiculous! Lady Byng trophy #3 coming his way.

ANA! What a great fight, down 0-6, 0-2 but she fought back to take the match! What a comeback! Into the Australian Open Final, can't believe it! Btw, great fight by Blake last night, there's no way he deserved to lose in straight sets.

Women's SF: Sharapova v Jankovic- Maria in 2. Jankovic not 100% and not playing at her best whereas Maria is in the best form of her life. Ivanovic v Hantuchova- Ana in 2. Ana is just too strong and has too many weapons. She really wants to win the AO and I can see it happening. Mens SF: Nadal v Tsonga- Nadal in 4. Tsonga to come out strong and take the 1st but Nadal will wear him down as usual. A win to Tsong would make the final a shocker, so Nadal has to win. Cmon Rafa! Federer v Djokovic- Novak in 5. It's the one we've all been waiting for. This prediction is purely out of hope but Djokovic hasn't dropped a set and finally looks ready to beat the world #1 in a Slam, here's hoping anyway.

Milan Michalek might not be having a very good season but he's a terrific talent and if I were the Sharks he's be one of the last guys I'd trade.

Ana!!! Defeated Venus in straight sets. She was 0-4 against her and probably the opponent she most struggles against. So this was a brilliant win on the big stage. Through to the SF's where she'll meet Hantuchova. I'll post more pics later but I took this one which I like.

How can you not like Hudler and Filppula? They are the future.

Berdych is a mental case, plain and simple. He could be anything, as evident by his play against Federer. He was the better player for 2 sets, was up 5-1 in the tiebreak, had 2 set points and on the first he had an easy put away instead opting for the drop shot. He's an absolute mental case and it's such a shame because he's an ubelievable talent. Sharapova produced one of the best performances I've seen in years. I thought Henin played very well herself but Maria was just unbelievable. That's one of the highest standard womens matches I've seen for quite some time, despite the one-sided scoreline. Sharapova was simply unbelievable, hitting with such great power and angle. She had Henin running from side to side and she was always on the back foot. With that form, there's no way she's doing anything but winning this title. As for the mens side, Nadal will now face Tsonga who won his QF in straight sets. He played another amazing game, started getting tight towards the latter stages of the 3rd but managed to close it out, luckily too I might add because the longer the match was going the better Youzhny was playing.

Did anyone catch his pass to Ovechkin last night? Absolutely uneblievable pass, check it out if you haven't seen it. I really like this kid, he'll be a star for a long, long time.
