We wouldn't get anything for him because he's worthless... I am thinking straight when I say that he's worthless. For a guy who plays consistent minutes on the PP and averages about 17 minutes a night, his impact isn’t up to what it should be. I’m sick of seeing him out there taking soft, unscreened shots from the blue line as well as constant giveaways.

Agreed. I think there's little doubt too much pressure has been placed on the starters over the past few seasons. They've simply been too worn out to play to their best when it really matters. I'm not much of a fan of Saunders but I've been satisfied with the way he's been spreading the minutes around lately, and what's even more satisfying is that Flip Murray hasn't set foot on the court since Stuckey returned.

Thanks for that mate, that's very encouraging. Howard played quite poorly in November but he was outstanding during Decemeber posting numbers of 1.72 GAA and 0.939 S%. His form of late has been one of the few positives to come from the Griffins season.

Agreed, he was terrible. But the strange thing was that Babs put him out there straight after he committed a turnover which led to a 3-on-1. Normally Babs would bench someone after they made a play like that, but not with Sammy. I'm therefore inclined to believe he really does rate him that highly. -
Samuelsson was quite comfortably the worst player on the ice last night. He played a truly horrible game. Turnovers galore and lots of soft shots. It doesn't matter to me if he chips in with a good game every now and then, IMO he is worthless.

Overdue for a loss, wake up call, off night ect, ect. All are fair and reasonable comments, but did it have to be this very game?

How was Howard? Looking at his stats he's been on fire lately, too bad the team can't score.

Well the Pistons beat the Bucks by 45 points! Flip Saunders has actually been playing the bench lately and Stuckey has been playing real well for a rookie. 7 aasists tonight.

All for it, completely worthless if you ask me. But I'm pretty infuriated right now so I wouldn't take too much of what I say to heart.

Franzen's giving Samuelsson a run for his money in the worst player on the ice award. Can he miss the net any more? And does Sammy want to cause any more 3-on-1's?

Great idea for a thread interminded (and thanks for the mention). This site is absolutely fantastic and I can't imagine how much time and effort has been put in by Matt and everyone else behind the scenes. Their work is appreciated by all and I can't describe how thankful I am for having such a great site to visit each day. Love the GDT's, love the banter, love all the comedians, love LGW!

Agreed! Hartigan has REALLY impressed me tonight whereas Samuelsson has been utterly useless. Hartigan's last shift was great. Samuelsson has plyed more than Datsyuk; is Babcock switched on tonight?

Gee this is a terrible game, just my luck. We've been so average. Barely any shots, basically zero scoring chances bar one or two plays, and there has been so little flow to this game. I really cannot fathom what Samuelsson brings to this team. I'm sorry but IMO he is completely worthless. Franzen, well it might sound harsh but he's not much better...

I'm having a blast! Would like to see a few more scoring chances though. Lots of minutes spent with scrapping in the corner, and the Wings can't seem to get many passes together. Datsyuk looked dangerous, and Filppula and Cleary almost connected in the first few minutes. I thought Hudler looked pretty good too but I felt his two linemates were poor. Cmon Wings, big second period!

That's the advantage of actually being able to see the game, I know what you're talking about in regards to scoring chances. We've had 10 SOG but I'd say about 2 were actually decent chances, the rest were 'Samuelsson shots'. Hasek was very good and that save on Tkachuk was phenomenal. Samuelsson needs to lift his game or he should swap with Hartigan who I was impressed with.
