5 GOALS! Wow! Indeed!

Hudler's not getting much ice-time tonight. Just 6:36 after 2 periods, although he has seen a few minutes on the PP. Flip saw a lot more time after he scored, I guess Huds will have to follow suit. I'm pretty confident that we'll get the victory now, especially with Osgood playing so great yet again.

Flip getting a lot of ice-time after scoring that goal. Babs rewarding him for his solid play. Now all we need is for Hudler to score...

Hudler's not getting much ice-time at all tonight. Cmon Babs, he's young and will give this team the energy it needs right now!

I hope Flip has another strong game v the Blues. I've gotta head out now but I'll be back in about 45 mins. I hope to see the Wings leading when I return!

Thoughts on the game: 1. Kronwall was great. Was given credit for only 2 SOG but it seemed as though he put up at least 5. 4 assists; I didn't even know he was capable of that production on one game! Please keep it up Kronners. 2. Dats, Hank and Homer= best line in hockey. All played well. No one weaves through traffic like Datsyuk. 3. Filppula and Hudler each scored their 8th goals. They're both on track for about 20 goals, wouldn't that be great production from 23/24 year olds? Both will be tremendous hockey players. 4. How good was Lidstrom's play on Zetterberg's goal? Unbelievable stuff. 5. I REALLY like Kopecky. Thought he used his body well and it's also very hard to take the puck from. He's also very quick. Great game from him, and the rest of the 4th line. 6. I thought it was a case of 'all played well' last night but with one exception, Samuelsson. He was hopeless. 7. Wings are too good.

Everything I've read seems to indicate that he had a VERY slow start to the season, and as a result he was a healthy scratch quite often, including for 3 or 4 straight games. However in the past 5 or so games he's lifted his play; he's starting to use his body, has 2 points in 4 games and has been solid defensively. I'm not too concerned because he's always been a slow starter and this season is no exception.

I sure hope so but Saunders always goes back into his shell and he plays the bench not nearly as much as he should. We have plenty of guys capable of producing and I just hope he has faith in them. Hayes, Brezec, Maxiell, Johnson, and even Murray and Hunter, that right there is a pretty decent bench. The other day he had like 5 bloked shots in about 6 minutes of game time. What a machine. 2.5 pts, 2.5 rbs and 1.3 blocks are pretty good numbers for a guy who averages 8 minutes of garbage time a game.
