As usual, Prince goes from a career high last week to absolute rubbish in 3-4 games on the trot. I am all for trading this guy.

My thoughts on the game: * We played very well for the first two periods and were unlucky not be more than two goals up. Despite matching their shot total I thought we were totally outplayed in the third and we seemed to lose a little energy. * I know it’s a minor thing but how Jiri Hudler got the 1st start is beyond me. Yes he had a goal and an assist but his assist was due to Flip and Cleary and his goal was a huge stroke of luck. Good for him for being in the right place at the right time but Dats, Hank and Cleary all had stronger games. After seeing the game it’s easy to understand why stats can be so misleading. Dats came away pointless and yet I felt he was the best player on the ice. He is so unbelievably crafty and the amount of times he takes the puck away from the opposition is amazing. What a superstar. * I thought none of our defensemen were all that great. Did anyone else feel that Rafalski had a poor game? I thought he turned the puck over quite a few times which lead to scoring chances for the Preds. Lilja had a strong OT but my word he was TERRIBLE out there. Just so careless and it was no surprise that he was -2. Surely one of these days it’s time for Quincey? * Osgood was brilliant. Some of those saves were tremendous including his stop on Radulov in the SO. Good to see the crowd giving him a lot of support. * Zetterberg to go all season long scoring at least a point.

Emmerton > Matthias. But in all seriousness, that's an insane game, juniors or not. It shows what he's capable of, he just needs to put it together more often.

Is Kris Draper the best face-off man in the league? He's 5-3 tonight and I don't have the stats on me but he would have to be up around 60%.

Observations from listening to the game (while hearing an annoying buzzing): * We have a ton of shots and with a bit of luck would've been up by a few goals. * Second PP unit, which has struggled recently, had some great chances. * Filppula is flying, almost had a SH goal early and almost a PP goal late which would've added to his assist. * Cleary's having another very strong game.

I can't believe you guys can't even watch the game, that is pathetic. I tell you what though, it's on in a few hours in Australia and you're all welcome to come down.

Cleary!!! He's starting to get hot! Nice work from Flip, he's started very strong tonnight. 5 points in 5 games.

Even my usual NHL Radio listening is acting up today. Making some annoying beeping noise every now and then.

Interesting read eva unit zero, but there’s a few who are too high IMO. McGrath should be about a 6 and I believe Helm is the better prospect. Quincey perhaps a little too high at 7.5, Ericsson too is maybe a tad high. Despite having some potential Kolosov faces a massive battle to make the NHL and should probably be around a 5.

How many minutes until the game starts? I must have seriously miscalculated the time of this game, I thought it was due to start half an hour ago.

You're darn right straight up. Why wouldn't you do the deal? What is it that makes Kronwall such a must keep guy? Is is the constant turnovers, the constant injuries, the lack of offensive production we were always promised? Avery's come a long way since his days as a Wing, he's improved his offensive output every season to the point where he's a scroing line player capable of even playing on the PK. Hits, scores, agitates, he's a very solid little player. But anyway it would never happen. But regardless, Kronwall is ridiculously injury prone.

Some people need to realise there is a different between having bad luck and being injury prone. Kronwall is clearly the latter, and to re-sign him for 5 years when he seemingly can’t put together a month of hockey without suffering an injury is a risk that wasn’t worth taking. Can we trade Kronwall for Avery? Please?

I'm sure he would be thrilled.
