Federer's 1st serve % was about 70% and he served about 26 aces and as many un-returnables. He managed to serve big when it mattered most; down 15-40 and both 1-1 and 2-2 in the final set. If Nadal took one of these points it would have been game over, but Federer's serve came up big again. Nadal outplayed him in the rallies, don't think anyone can deny that. At the end of the 4th set the rallies were roughly 100-70 in favour of Nadal. Nadal was the superior player but couldn't quite take his chances.

Lucky, lucky man Roger. Nadal completely outplayed him and was unlucky not to win. Better win as many slams as you can now Roger because before too long you won’t ever be able to beat Rafa. Rafa >>> Federer.

CMON RAFA!!!!!!

I went to bed when Roddick was up 2 sets to love. What happened? And the women's final will be the biggest joke in history. Bartoli won't win a game.

Oilers sign RFA Vanek to 7-yr, $50M Offer Sheet
Aussie_Wing replied to Wingsfan72's topic in General
Imagine having 4 first rounders, that's insane. But would’ve the picks been protected incase the Oilers crashed and burned this season? Vanek is a proven young superstar though, Buffalo did the right thing. And another thing, the contracts are getting out of hand again... -
Oilers sign RFA Vanek to 7-yr, $50M Offer Sheet

Wow, that's crazy. Over $7 million per season. He's incredible, but that's one heck of a deal. Buffalo won't be happy if they are to lose him, that's an understatement. -
Welcome aboard! Rafa just destroyed Berdych. Cmon Rafa!

I like it! I think Kopecky has something to offer.
-
Rip's probably my favourite Piston, I would be very disappointed. He's still young and has many good years ahead of him. Can't believe they would be willing to lelt him go.

Great news! Welcome back Dom!

Ana saves 3 match points to defeat Vaidisova! Champion! Venus Williams awaits. Hewitt. Had his chances, just couldn't take them. I'm a bit torn here people. I like Berdych, but he's up against Nadal in the QF. I think Rafa's the only one who can beat Federer so I want him to keep advancing so he has the chance. But Berdych is one of my favourites. Who the heck do I support? But this wouldn't be a problem if Roddick took care of Roger. But I'm scared after what happened at the Australian Open...

Best news of the off-season! Huds!!!

Doesn’t anyone believe in sticking around and staying with one team for a decent amount of time anymore? Take Markov for example, “Defenseman Danny Markov rejected a contract offer from the Wings last week at the entry draft in Columbus and is not expected to return.†We gave him a healthy salary for 2006/07 despite the fact he’s injury prone, and yet he rejects our offer probably to get a bit more $$$ from a mediocre team. There is just no loyalty in sports anymore and it's sickening. It’s all about the money.
-
A big yes from me.
-
So turning down a $2.5 million offer is because they need to provide for their families? Give me a break!!!
-
You’re more than welcome mate. Will get awfully crowded in a few years...
-
Sounds good. Now for reality! We've heard about his potential and offensive abilities for so long now, surely it'll come to fruition this season.
-
Too bad Kronwall will be out for half of the season...
-
Surely they're both bound for Grand Rapids?
-
Excellent post.

Hewitt through to the 4th Round where he’ll probably face Djokovic. And Ana Ivanovic is through to the Quarters where she will face fellow young gun Nicole Vaidisova. Very nervous about both matches.
-
Getter done Kenny!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, Markov HAS been offered a new contract but declined. As much as you might think so it's not THAT big of a deal to me. It’s just that IMO it doesn’t say much about a person’s character if they go from one team to another, without even considering whether it will get them close to a Cup, just so they’ve got a bit more money. As I said, not a huge deal, just something that irritates me.

I’d gladly take Andrew "Red Light" Raycroft is he can recapture his 2003/04 form.

Where have you heard this?
