3/24 GDT: St. Louis Blues @ Red Wings, 2:00 PM ET

Pretty disheartening considering all the scouts raved about his potential. It seems to have all gone wrong, but I guess he has time on his side to turn things around.

To be honest I’m growing tired of Kronwall. Seems like he’s good for nothing but turnovers and dumb penalties.

Great news in regards to Lebda! He's alert and responsive.

You can’t be serious? If that’s the case then I actually prefer to play 5-on-5 because having Samuelsson on the point is basically giving away any advantage you have. Man Babcock makes some odd decisions.

Wow he was down for a long time. Poor Lebs, I really like him. Very excitable player.

Stretcher??? Oh no, oh heck no. If it’s a serious injury which it sounds like, we’re going to be stuck with Lilja in the playoffs.

    2/4, stupid Colorado.

    Jakub Kindl

The Kitchener Rangers are up against the Sarnia Sting in first round of the OHL playoffs. In the first game which was played yesterday, the Rangers won 6-4. Kindl was pointless however he was +3. Prior to this playoff series Kindl has 1 point and is -11 in 17 playoff games. So this is a big postseason for Jakub as there is a lot expected of him and his performances in the playoffs up until this point have been very disappointing.

    Red Wings attendance is DISGUSTING!

How can you blame low attendances on the fact that we’re successful and hence people are spoilt? That’s the worse excuse I’ve ever heard for low attendances. Surely if the team is successful and plays an exciting brand of hockey like Detroit does, people would want to turn up? Considering there’s a pretty reasonably chance you’re going see a win surely that would help with attendance figures? I can’t understand that reasoning at all. Oh and $80 a seat does some incredibly high. I paid $20 for my ticket to the season opener of my home team in the AFL, great deal.

    Sergei Fedorov boos

One of the main reasons Shanahan left was because he felt it was time for the young guns of the team to get the ice time they deserved. And due to the fact Yzerman retired, he felt it was the changing of the guard. Shanahan deserves nothing but respect and I believe his situation is different to that of Fedorov’s.

Agreed. I appreciate what he did for the Wings, but I don't have much respect for him after the way he left.

    Red Wings attendance is DISGUSTING!

I see two games a week in Australia as well as seeing highlights. I would have to saythat to me it seems as though the Joe is one of the quietest venues in the league; it really isn’t anywhere near that of other teams.

Around the league, Mark Mowers scored tonight. Boy could we do with him right about now.

Are we going to have to put up with this all the time? Extremely repetitive, and not to mention stupid.

Man San Jose's Milan Michalek is a great young player. Size, speed and a great two way game. Just thought I would add that.

Big cheer from the crowd when Todd had the puck.

    Thomas Vanek

There's a lot of talk about Crosby, Ovechkin, Stastny ect, ect, but this young lad doesn't deserve the recognition he deserves IMO. He is only 23 years of age and this season he has scored 35 goals, added 36 assists for a total of 71 points. However what really impresses me is his +/- statistic. He is leading the entire NHL with a rating of +40, four ahead of the next best who is Lidstrom. A dynamic offensive talent who will only get better in the coming seasons…

Yeh it's a lot tighter now, one bad week and I'm right back in the pack. Going to have to keep up my 12+ average I guess.

3/22 GDT: Blue Jackets @ Red Wings

I don't think I've been this excited for a game all season. Cannot wait! I think we'll have a big win. 5-1 sounds about right.

Trade lights fire under Calder -- and Lang

Let's count the fruitless shot streak for Sammy. He's currently at 17 SOG without finding the net.
