Yep, but when that's finished I expect the Wings to waive Brunnstrom, and I half expect him to clear, especially if he continues to play like he did last night.

GAME 5 - October 21st, 7:00pm CDT @ Oklahoma City Barons (3-1-0-0) GAME 6 - October 22nd, 7:00pm CDT @ Oklahoma City Barons (3-1-0-0) GAME 7 - October 23rd, 5:05pm CDT @ Houston Aeros (2-1-0-1) Starting tonight, the Griffins have three games in as many nights, all on the road. They play Oklahoma City in back to back games both tonight and Saturday, and then finish against Houston. The Griffins are coming off a 3-0 road win against Hamilton, Joey MacDonald got the shutout, whilst Nyquist and Conner both extended their point streaks to 4 games. Mitchell Callahan has been suspended for four games, while Landon Ferraro is out indefinitely with a concussion. Defenceman Travis Ehrhardt is out with an injured shoulder. Thankfully for the Griffins, Brendan Smith is back in the line-up, while rookie Andre Nestrasil will make his AHL debut. The lines will be as follows: Nyquist - Andersson - Conner Tatar - Johnson - Pare Parkes - Raedeke - Coetzee Estoclet - Aubry - Nestrasil Janik - Smith Exelby - Lashoff Pyett - Amadio MacDonald Pearce

OK so I watched Nestrasil last night for the first time and I was so impressed. All I’ve heard is his skating, how bad it is and how it will hold him back. Honestly, if anything, I thought it stood out in a positive way. He was buzzing all night. He assisted on Raedeke’s goal with a beautiful feed, and then shortly after he scored on the PP after crashing home a rebound. He was creating scoring chances all night, and he was named the games 1st star, in just his second AHL game. Maybe I just caught him on a good night where he looked fast, but I honestly can’t say I noticed his ‘poor’ skating. He’s got good size, he’s got good hands, after his efforts last night, hard to believe he won't be a regular in Grand Rapids.

Brendan Smith just got into a fight, and won. Nyquist's speed is impressive, as is Aubry's hustle and physicality.
-
Guys, in good news, the Griffins are up 2-0. Nyquist has an assist, as does Smith, Nestrasil a G+A, and Aubry looks excellent.
-
Deserved to play 2 minutes. Terrible opening period. I think the 4th line on Tuesday will look very different, something like Holmstrom-Miller-Eaves.
-
Wow, what a great goal by the Griffins. Nyquist skates into the offensive zone, but falls. While on the ice, he still makes a play by sliding the puck to Nestrasil. Nestrasil holds onto the puck, and passes it across to Nyquist who is back up and in position. Nyquist then passes again to Nestrasil who is driving to the net, and as he does he slides a nifty pass across to Raedeke who puts it home. Griffins 1-0. Aubry then dominates for two shifts, almost scores, and then Brule (who had previously fought Piche) decided he'd have another go, but this time he loses the plot and gives up a 4 minute penalty. Griffins PP. Andersson wins the faceoff, Nestrasil whips the puck back to Smith. Smith hands on, then shoots, a big rebound comes and Nestrasil who had driven to the net after the pass slams it home. Griffins 2-0. Nestrasil, Nyquist, Aubry= exciting.

Ummm you're an idiot. 1st minus is because of Emmerton's giveaway and Conk's terrible goaltending. 2nd minus was started by an ordinary clear attempt by Kindl, but Conk's goaltending was again terrible. These are the first goals he's been on the ice against all season you idiot.

Ty Conklin ladies and gents.
-
Helm, want to wait any longer????????????????
-
BENCH BERTUZZI. Sick of his antics tonight.
-
Flip, Huds and Mule are our best line tonight, as usual.
-
Put Eaves in Cleary's place, seriously.
-
Well, after a very ordinary 1st period, I'm not surprised. Needs to learn to stay on his skates.
-
Emmerton has a goal and an assist tonight. But seriously, our PK sucks. We make it so easy for opponents.
-
Another turnover by Emmerton.
-
Hmmm interesting trade for sure. That makes Matthias, Fleischmann, Kopecky and Samuelsson as all ex Wings (in one way or the other) on the Panthers roster. Wow.
-
What the heck was that Stuart and...Kronwall?? We're a mess tonight.
-
No, but I wish I was.
-
Emmerton that was horrible.
-
Thanks Bertuzzi.
-
I thought Abby handled that defensive situation very well, and even Kindl did well against AO.
-
Bad giveaways by Franzen and Kindl on that last shift.
-
He's definitely been injury prone, but a concussion is just bad luck. Anyway, the undermanned Griffins lost 4-1 tonight. Conner kept his streak alive by scoring, assisted by Exelby and Pare. Tatar had a team high 5 shots, Aubry was next best with 4. Aubry was also out there when the Barons scored an EN goal, so I take it Aubry impressed. That's one positive to take from this game.

I hope that Kindle fella scores a goal tonight. I hear he's a good'un. I am so annoyed, it feels like forever since our last game, and now I'm working all day so will miss it. Sucks!
