Glen Murray is a very interesting propostion. There would be no way he would come here though with his salary.

Well just checking his stats, I am amazed at his rapid progress this season. 2004/05: 62 games, 32 points 2005/05: 31 games, 49 points.

Detroit 110 Bulls 82 Well I called to see more of Carlos Delfino, and he one of the first off the bench tonight, he even came on before Evans. He contributed 5 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists in almost 21 minutes. Arroyo had 11 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, Evans 13 points and McDyess 8. I think the Pistons are in a very intriguing situation with Milicic. We may consider trading him at the deadline, and in return we could get a good bench player capable of putting up 10-15 points every night. Or we could keep him and continue to watch his development.

Yes, I just found this:

I presume Kindl is off to the WJC, that's why he didn't play tonight? Nice way to ruin his stats for Kitchener, but the experience will be good for him.

I must admit, the only two times Darko has ever started in his career, he actually performed quite well. In one of these games he had 16 points on 7-11 shooting to go with 6 rebounds. So maybe all he needs is to have an oppertunity to show that he can play, he just needs the time. And as you said, he is a great shot-blocker.

That's because I don't rate Darko, and I don't think he deserved a write-up

I've been bored so I thought I would analyse the Pistons bench. I would love feedback as to what you think. Enjoy. Antonio McDyess: Averaging 19.4 minutes, 5.5 points (43.1%), 4.7 rebounds. His stats are significantly down on last season (9.6 points compared to 5.5) and this has been as a result of some very poor shooting performances. He has struggled to find a rhythm, and will need to pick up his play to be the efficient 6th man the Pistons are counting on. Carlos Arroyo: Averaging 14.3 minutes, 4.1 points, 3.4 assists. Arroyo has been much maligned ever since he arrived in Detroit. He is crucial to the Pistons as he is needed to spell Chauncey while at the same time running the offence. He has been criticized for ruining the flow of the offence and struggling on defense. Whether people like it or not, he plays a vital role in the success of the Pistons. Carlos Delfino: Averaging 8.7 minutes, 2.9 points (47.4%), 1.5 rebounds. In my opinion, Delfino is a very valuable player to this team as he can pretty much do it all out there. From his limited minutes, he has clearly shown that he can score, while shooting at a good clip. He is very strong at driving to the hoop, and he is an underrated rebounder. However Saunders doesn’t seem to use him enough, which I feel is a big mistake. He could be the missing piece of the puzzle. All he needs is time to make a contribution. Maurice Evans: Averaging 16.4 minutes, 5.7 points (44.4%), 2.9 rebounds. Mo Evans has been quite serviceable for the Pistons. He has been used primarily as a backup for Tayshaun and he has provided some energy off the bench. He, along with McDyess, is the first used to sub the starters. He will be required to maintain this role throughout the course of the season. Dale Davis: Averaging 4.8 minutes, .3 points, .8 rebounds. Davis was signed as a back-up for the two Wallaces and McDyess. So far he has been used very sparingly. The ploy is to unleash him come playoff time, so he won’t be used much during the regular season. He is a solid defender and will most likely be seen as another body to wear out Shaq and Duncan. I would love to see him used a bit more often, maybe giving him 10 minutes a game, just to get an indication of where he is at. Lindsey Hunter: Yet to play a game. The forgotten man of the Pistons. When he returns he will be counted on to provide solid defense and knowing Hunter this shouldn’t be a problem. The only concern is getting him into shape before the playoffs. Milicic, Acker, Johnson & Maxiell don't warrant reviews.

No more maths homework for me! Finished year 12 a few weeks ago

Pistons 109, Kings 98. * Hamilton 36 points, * Billups 28 points, career high 19 assists, * B.Wallace 17 rebounds, 5 blocks.

This was the initial scouting report on Tyler Haskins: "Great spead and agility, handles the puck well and has above-average hockey intelligence. Lacks grit and might be a liability defensively."
-
Frustrated Wallace unsure of role

WORLD JUNIOR UPDATE: Defenseman Jakub Kindl (Kitchener, OHL) will play for the Czech Republic at the world junior championship. Well done Jakub
-
COLD: Center Tomas Kopecky (Grand Rapids, AHL) went from red hot (7-3-9-12) to stone cold (7-1-1-2) in the span of a few weeks What's new?

Great half by the Pistons, at half time we're up by 14. Our bench has been quite good, contributing 17 points.
-
For those who have seen him play for the Griffins this season, how has he looked? He has 3 goals and 2 assits in 7 games. Does he look as though he will be ready to play for the Wings in 2006/07? Thanks!
-
Yes I admit I completely forgot about Lindsey Hunter. He is a master at the defensive end and good for 15-20 minutes a night. A very valuable backup for Billups. However so far this season McDyess has struggled to find his shot, and therefore the bench has been lacking. Arroyo has been decent and seems to be improving with each outing. Evans hasn’t been as instrumental as I would have liked. And all the talk about how Delfino and Darko were going to play this season, they are hardly seeing the court. Not that its an issue with Darko, because I would rather anyone than him out there.
-
Phew close one. I thought we had the game won, and then J-Rich comes up with a huge shot. Great win guys!
-
I'm sorry but our bench still stinks. It is awful
-
Valtteri Filppula had a short-handed goal tonight. He now has 26 pts in as many games.
-
Probably more appropriate in the Pistons season thread.

Latendresse plays an all-around game and is a power forward. He uses his body to throw thunderous checks and fight for positioning in front of the net and along the boards while battling for position. Latendresse has good instincts and always drives hard to the net. Defensively he’s responsible and is willing to lie down to block shots. Seth I can see where you're coming from

oh jesus don't even get me started.... LOL!
