I'm hoping that you guys know something about my favourite sport. The Australian Football League is a brilliant game, one that you should start to take an interest in. That may sound stupid, but hey I'm an Aussie and I'm a huge fan of the NHL. Ask me any anything you would like to know about the game, because I would like nothing more than you to be interested. The average attendence this season is about 37,000 per match. Each side has 22 players, 18 on the ground at one time, with 4 on the interchange. Finals (playoffs) start in September, and my team the Adelaide Crows are currenly in second position. The Official Website is www.afl.com.au

Less than 24 hours away! I can hardly wait! GO THE SWANS!
-
Yeh I know when I saw he had two goals and an assist I though oh no. We drafted someone who is only projected to be a 3rd liner and yet we passed on Latendresse!

Thanks I appreciate the links

2005 AFL Grand Final Sydney Swans vs West Coast Eagles at MCG.

Yeh when I read that my immediate reaction was 'Oh No'! That's like he was during the entire 2004/05 season. Lets hope he gets some reward for effort and strong play in the future

Third set, Agassi serving at 30-0, up 4-2. If only he could have held serve and the result might have been different. After he lost the tiebreak, I said to myself, ‘Federer’s going to clean him up now’ unfortunately I was right. I agree RockyMountainWingGal, Federer is a brilliant player, an absoulute freak, but I wish someone could beat him. Calling Marat... Well I’m ecstatic to tell all the tennis fans on this forum that I’m going to the 2006 Australian Open!!! Can hardly wait!

What's happened to Tomas Kopecky? 2000 Prospect Tournament Stats: 2G, 3A, 5PTS, +9. Where's this promise gone?

Here is an article on Valtteri Filppula and the Wings prospects 7-1 win. Link

I dont know if this has been mentioned, but in the 7-1 destroying of Columbus, Big Snake recorded a Godie Howe hat trick, a goal, an assist, and a fight. Not doing his chances any harm at all.

This is quoted from a Wings fan on another forums site. I agree 100%. See what you think. "He's what we need. Very explosive, good offensive ability, and young. I say give him a chance. You could argue that he may need some seasoning in the AHL, but I'd disagree. Top tier European leagues are pretty much on par with the AHL, the only thing he'll have to adjust to is the size of the rink. The Finnish league plays more like the North American style of hockey, at least moreso than the rest of Europe. There's no doubt there will be some adjustment needed, but a lot of players will need to adjust, figure out what they can and can't do, etc.. with the rules, so it won't hurt him too much. I really like this kid, I think he deserves a chance. I can't wait to get a chance to see him play. I hope he makes the team, I think he could become a very good player."

We'll I'm pretty sure everyone knows what I think... Get him on the Wings now!

Yeh that's all very well, but as I said earlier: During the 2003/04 season the main problem we had was our speed, due mainly to our age. As this problem has clearly not been addressed, I honestly see this as a long, tough season. Two words are bound to summarise our season: TOO OLD!
-
Come again?
-
Yeh sorry for the negativity, but I doubt we will be anywhere near good enough to challenge for the Cup this season. I mean we’ve lost Datsyuk & Hull who combined for 55 goals, and also gone are handy offensive players McCarty and Whitney. From our defense we’ve lost Dandenault, Hatcher and Woolley. Our goaltending is also questionable. During the 2003/04 season the main problem we had was our speed, due mainly to our age. As this problem has clearly not been addressed, I honestly see this as a long, tough season.

Yeh I sure was, she's been on of my favourite players for a while. Very disappointed indeed, I just cant figure out where Pierce's form has come from? CMON LLEYTON!!!
-
YES! Finally someone agrees with me, we should've never let Avery go!
-
Then why would he come to the Wings?
-
Who? Chelios, Shanahan, Thomas?
-
What, and boost our average age to a tender 39.66?
-
Ah no problems thanks.

Agree. Short term pain eqauls long term gain!
