So excited! Holmstrom seems to be on the 4th line a lot this pre-season, I'm taking it he's not going to see too many ES minutes this season. Interesting that Emmerton is centrering the 2nd line and Johnson the third, so at this point Cory has the slight advantage. That 2nd line is pretty exciting and will be interesting to watch. Hopefully Mursak and Tatar have strong games. Go Wings!

I've (obviously) never met Jimmy and I probably never will, but to me he seems like the nicest bloke you could meet. Congrats to him and his wife!!

Starting to (finally) create some noise. Gus 2nd line winger, for sure. Can't wait to see what he produces in GR this season. I'm not predicting anything stupid like PPG, or even 60 points, I'll say anything above 40 points would be a good return, but his upside is so promising. No doubt a draft steal.

Have you seen him out on the ice? He is a big, big kid.

I love this kid. I hope he just keeps getting stronger, I wonder whether he'll play a season or two in the AHL or go straight to the NHL. Probably the former.

I'm hoping he's a little bit like Tobias Enstrom.

Sheahan is huge, and he skates well. His best asset is how defensively responsible he is, I saw him a few times last season and he completely shut down the oppositions top line. There is definitely offensive potential in there, he goes to the traffic areas and has good hands, but I think his offence won't come around for a while. I think at worst he centres the 4th line one day, best case he's our 2nd line centre, although with Jarnkrok arriving shortly, maybe 3rd line centre will be his niche.

35 points would be a terrific result. Even getting a roster spot would be a terrific result...

Normally yes, but at times last year he was so hesitant to shoot it was painful to watch. I think that was all due to lack of confidence though so I'd be expecting the 'old' Hudler to return. And yes, I love that top line, I've been saying for a while now that Eaves has been underutilised, and given a legit shot in the top 6 he'd return to being a 20 goal scorer. He's got the speed and shot, and he's got a great work ethic to succeed. Imagine if we could have a 20 goal scorer for $1.2mil.

The only thing I worry about is the 3rd line and who would shoot the puck. Anyone?! I loooove the thought of Abdelkader-Helm-Mursak though, would be insane! Speed, energy, physicality.

Brunnstrom scored today, as did Eaves. Filppula was his teams lone scorer. I'm hoping for this come opening night: Cleary - Datsyuk - Eaves Franzen - Zetterberg - Filppula Bertuzzi - Abdelkader - Hudler Holmstrom - Helm - Mursak

Hudler will score 55+ points this season, just you wait. He'll return to 2008-09 form. Can you believe that Hudler debuted in the 2003-04 season?

The guy has to play well, for his own confidence, because can you imagine the pressure the media and fans will start placing on him if he struggles??

Feel sorry for Todd, he's apologised, he obviously feels terrible about what happened, and he’s paid Moore compensation. We all make mistakes in life, this was a major one by Todd, but surely he should be allowed to move on?
