Not a fan of tats...what the heck Helmer?
-
Hudler by so far it's not even funny.
-
That's the worst list I have ever seen.

Great signing.

More of this bloke.

Still some noise about Wings picking up a top 4 Dman
Aussie_Wing replied to Din758's topic in General
Yes, Tim Gleason. He is a very, very good defenceman. -
Judging by what I'm reading from Malik, I like the Smith-Almquist pairing.
-
Current all-prospect forwards line-up: Nyquist - Jarnkrok - Pulkkinen Tatar - Sheahan - Jurco Emmerton - Aubry - Mursak Nestrasil - Andersson - Callahan

Still some noise about Wings picking up a top 4 Dman

We should forget about using the cash this season. Next off-season sign Tim Gleason to a 5 year deal, a top 6 forward and then we are set! -
What’s not to like about this guy? Huge, skates very well, long reach, great offensive instincts and a very good attitude. He’s 18, so give him 4 or so years to get stronger, make his game more well-rounded and hopefully we’ve got a very good NHL defenseman. He’s got the attributes you can’t teach, but his weaknesses can, that’s what excites me.
-
Seriously, this guy is going to become a fan favourite. I think all he needs is more time spent in the gym, and learn to simplify certain aspects of his game. He’s got tons of skill, I see him becoming another Filppula, but probably with a little more offence.
-
With Mursak about to graduate, he's probably become my favourite prospect along with Nyquist. I just get the feeling this kid is something special, I see him as a Jordan Staal/Martin Hanzal type, but not quite at their levels. Everything I’ve read suggests that he is such a smart hockey player; he knows the game so well and has an advanced hockey IQ, especially for someone so young. He’s huge, he skates well, he is defensively sound and he has that offensive potential that might eventually come around. At just 19 he’s got plenty of time to develop and should he keep on making the progress he has been, I see him becoming a shut down 4th line centre at minimum, with hopefully the potential to centre the 3rd.

Still a lof of unknowns, ie are Minard and Johnson returning, will Emmerton be/clear waives, any more signings, which of the juniors decide to turn pro. But... Tatar - Johnson - Conner Pare - FA - Nyquist Ferraro - Andersson - Parkes Coetzee - Raedeke - Callahan
-
Possiblities are: Aubry, Callahan, Parkes, Nestrasil.
-
His AHL numbers don't even look that impressive...
-
Brian Lashoff, at the end of the vid, looks like a big man already. Man I hope he gets consistent ice-time this season because he can be a good 4th/5th defenceman if developed properly.
-
I came here to post just that. Hang in there mate.
-
Janik - Smith Exelby - Pyett Amadio - Ehrhardt (Piche) Not the worst AHL defence going around, on paper at least...

"We feel good with the people we have," Holland said

Seeing Mursak as a reserve while Miller starts, shudder. -
Danny Heatley has been looking pretty average over the past few years, and is a playoff choker. Good deal for SJ, clears cap space too.

Wings sign D Ian White to 2-year, $5.75m contract

Very solid signing, and a very fair dollar amount. I wouldn't say I'm pumped about this signing, but I'm not disappointed either. -
If Mursak is a healthy scratch at the expense of Miller, this is the worst off-season ever.
-
Has it got the point where Holland is trolling us?
-
Best move Kenny has made this off-season.

Wings re-sign Miller to 2-year, $1.65m contract

Unnecessary deal, how about moving forward Kenny? So it's goodbye Emmerton, and reduced playing time for Mursak. Super awesomeness. 2 years too? Good grief.
